Update on my trip to meet the man at the cottage

They wouldn't let me cross the border. Apparently they think I might not come back, even though I had a return ticket. So now I'm sitting in Windsor waiting for someone to come pick me up and bring proof that I live and go to school in Canada. If I can't get across the border, I'm not meeting him. So yeah, maybe a higher power is telling me this is a bad idea? haha

Next thing I know, he took two weeks off from work and flew out to see me because he wanted to. And then every. single. time I visited him, he booked my plane ticket and paid for it. So if you're not allowed by the government to cross the border after sitting 12 hours on a bus and 5 and counting hours detained in immigration he "understands"? What a prince.

This makes me sad for you. At this point, he should be telling you to go home and he'll try to find a flight to you. This guy wasnt worth the 12 hour bus ride, he sure as hell isnt worth being detained at the border! I guess I am always going on vacation when crossing the border...my friend was going to marry her fiance who was American and she got stopped at the border the day before her wedding day and wasn't allowed to cross for a year! She lived at the border and had to get a shit job and shit apartment so they could see eachother on weekends when he would drive over. They did finally marry and she moved to the US but they divorced a year later:(
