YES! I use the Tide ones all the time on our work out clothes and they come out smelling a lot better!

Adding a little vinegar to the wash cycle has a similar effect.

I tried vinegar and wasn't really satisfied with the results. Maybe I didn't use enough.

If you have hard water, the vinegar might not work, or even make it worse.
Air drying in the sun definitely helps, with all sorts of odors on all sorts of things. It also takes out stains. :-D
