I didn't find out how I placed (they only announced first place winners, which wasn't me) by I got a PR of 25:23! I was excited, I felt pretty good throughout the race and the conditions were great.

I hate it when they only give out first place awards.
was hoping to beat my best time and get down to 25, that was until i found out how hilly the course was, so I was happy with my 26:30, I thought it was going to be worse than that...i hate long steep hills and it wasn't like there was just 1 of them.
One of the ladies called them "rolling hills" yeah right, rolling hills my ass.
I posted Saturday but will share them here too because I am excited about actually completing a race!
I did my first 5k in 8 years and finished in 26:49. It was such a fun first race too. There was 2600 runners and bands along parts of the course and another 6500 people ran the 20k that shared the finish line so lots and lots of spectators. It was fun running the race and never being surrounded by less than 20 people.
I am already excited to look for another one to keep myself motivated to run.

I took 10 mins off my PR on the HM this weekend at the San Diego RnR! (I did a 2:55 in AZ and did 2:45 in SD) Still slow but glad to see some progress :-)
I don't think it's a PR but I did cut just over 10 mins off my time from the same 10K race 2 years ago (different course but that wasn't the difference).
