This is what it looked like when we moved in (no picture of kitchen but at least you can see rest of room)
This is basically what it looks like currently the kitchen/breakfast nook
The ceilings are 10' Do you think I could do coffered ceilings? could I still do them if I did cabs all the way to the ceiling (2 layers-top layer with glass fronts) Is the room big enough? I think it is about 25x 23 or so.
I'm not liking the cabinets but I do like the ceiling in this house
and floor plan seems similar to mine but hard to tell how much bigger it is than mine
The ceiling in your example looks more like it uses pop-ups to create an inset coffered ceiling. I think that could be a better option than actual coffering in your space.
Other options would be to created a paneled look with pencil molding or to use singular, flat boards to create the coffering (skip thick boards and extra molding).
What is 25x23? The kitchen, breakfast and family room? The other house you posted is definitely a lot bigger.
I have seen pictures online of kitchens with coffered ceilings. I think your ceiling is high enough to add a coffered ceiling. Would you do the coffered ceiling in the entire space (kitchen, breakfast, and family room)? I think only doing it in the kitchen won't work. The room would be too small.

According to the listing they are close to the same size.
