Most of you remember I saw the Doctors in Chicago last week. They kept saying it was going to be fixed and life would be fine. The one surgeon never learned the procedure I need and the other can't do it since the cause of my issues is not in her area of specialization. Now my options are Cleveland Clinic, Northwestern, or University of Minnesota. They basically handed me my records and moved on. DH is calling hospitals to find a surgeon who can do the procedure.
Meanwhile my Dad had his gall bladder out a month ago with no improvement. He had a CT last Thursday where they discovered 2 tumors in his liver and a major one in his pancreas. They biopsy on Monday to find out if it's Cancerous. He's dropped 40 pounds since February.
My Mom's little sister broke her back in February and they found out she has Cancer, but has to wait on Chemo since she got an infection during the back surgery. Her prognosis is good though.
DH is being amazing and getting shit taken care of for me eve though tomorrow is his last day off until close to our Anniversary on the 30th. My brother is coming in from TX later this week with his family, but we aren't allowed to mention anything until we have more answers. My parent's don't want the FB shitstorm that's coming. And to top it all off I have Jury Duty in the morning.
Please don't quote anything. I may DD this, but I had to get it out somewhere. Also, keep us in your thoughts. That's why I ready for the month to end already.

Thanks for the vibes and thoughts! Apparently, Mayo doesn't do the specific procedure, but these 3 do. I found a Doctor in FL's Cleveland Clinic who studied in MN and did research in Italy which is the only country with valid studies. It all frustrating and overwhelming. We'll probably check with Mayo just to be safe since we have had so many contradictory opinions.
Wow, how stressful. I'm praying that your dad and aunt will be okay. I haven't seen previous posts about your situation. What is the surgery that you need?

It's a rare GI one. My issue is genetic and they haven't done the research since it's too rare. They thought the damage was from Endo and a hysterectomy, but it apparently is not. I don't post too much about it, but it's getting overwhelming.
Aw FCG! {{hugs}} Hang in there! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you find some good news soon. That's a lot to deal with all at once!

Thanks again everyone! We're trying to get everything figured out and hoping for the best. DH and I just did dinner and a movie to relax a little. I think my parents are right in not telling everyone until we know more, but with a huge extended family it's going to get crazy once they hear it. It really means a lot to be in your thoughts and prayers.
so sorry i wish you didn't have to go through all of this. where do you live? northwestern really is a good option if you are close to chicago. cleveland clinic is also excellent. good luck with everything, and keep us updated!
