Why do the short weeks always feel the longest?
Tonight, I'm ducking out early to go to a wake for the father of one of my co-workers. H is coming with me for the drive, (it's out in Acton), because none of the co-workers I'm friendly with are going. We may grab dinner somewhere out there, but I have no idea where to go.
Tomorrow, we're headed out to my mom's because Sunday is her birthday. We'd initially planned to go on Sunday, but with the weather looking ooky-balooky AGAIN, we switched it to Saturday. So we'll have lunch with her, and see from there. I think she wants me to go visit with my great uncle, who's not doing well, but I don't know if I can do that to H. The whole situation is eerily reminiscent of his grandmother's, and he told me just the other day that he was still having a really hard time with her being gone. I couldn't tell my mom that, because he was in the room with me when I talked to her, so I'm going to have to call her this afternoon and ask that she not bring it up. BAH!
Sunday, we'll see what happens with the weather, but we'll likely just hang out. I think I'll make some Oscar snacks, so we can have a pseudo party.
Enjoy the weekend, everyone! And here's hoping for rain.
My weekend started yesterday although I did spent an hour doing work this morning, but I was in my PJs on bed so it barely counts.
Yesterday we went downtown, went shopping down Newbury and on beacon hill for my bday and I got a TON of cute stuff. Then we went to dinner and after my H had set up that a bunch of my friends were at city bar in the Lenox hotel and we had drinks. It was a fabulous birthday.
Today I am having lunch with my mom in concord, but no other plans. I want to go see a movie tonight, but my H wants to go to CT tonight to see his parents. We will see who wins!
Other than that I have nothing planned all weekend. We will prob go to the dog park one day and I have a Pilates class scheduled tomorrow, but nothing too big!
I will be bypassing the incoming storm and am headed down to Orlando Saturday morning for a 4 day work related conference. I'm hoping the weather is nice tomorrow as it's my one low key day that I'll have to myself before I spend the next 2 1/2 in and out of seminars.
I am I am! But I'm going to leave it up to her if she wants to add other colors in. And I'm completely vacillating on whether to tell her I want to grow it out, or just letting her do whatever.

I will probably get drunk tonight at home with H and watch a movie. Which would apparently be shocking to the small but strange percentage of MMers that have never been drunk.
This weekend will be my "dress rehearsal" for a big baking project in two weeks. I've been asked by a family friend to make 5 dozen red velvet cupcakes and 5 dozen cake pops for a baby shower.
I've made cake pops for fun almost a dozen times, but never more than 20 or so, and never on any kind of deadline. I also found a new method for making them that I want to try out ahead of time to see if it makes my life easier and then I bought two different brands of red velvet cake mix to see if one is any better than the other.
So yeah. My weekend will be spent up to my elbows in cake and frosting. Is contact diabetes a thing?
Awkward, now you'll have to bring some of those bad boys to the next GTG
Also, I hope you don't mind me asking, but I've been wondering how that interview went.
Lol, I did mention that interview, didn't I. It went okay. I wasn't completely on my game for some reason that day and I think the interviewer picked up on it. Also the woman interviewing me was visibly ill and said something to the effect that she was planning on being out today but came in just to interview me. Noooooo pressure, lol. I sent an email follow up and haven't heard anything back. I'm not going to hold my breath.
Well, *I* only scuba dive in the summer when it is warm Nubble Light House in York, ME is my favorite spot, but we also go to a few spots off of Portsmouth, NH and Rockport, MA. Lots of lobster, crabs, starfish, anemones, sea urchins... an occasional 5-foot across torpedo ray... oh, and squid at night! There's actually a lot more to see up here than one would think! I still think it's insane to go diving in New England in the winter months though.
