In our new "dining room" (which will be the workshop until summertime when R can build a shed), there's a built in cabinet in the corner:
We'll be storing our nice dishes and some other stuff in there. The shelves are old-growth wood, so I want to leave them alone, but I need to make coverings for them to protect them. I want to do something fun (and washable) in there. We'll be at Ikea tonight and their fabric is pretty affordable, so I'm thinking I'll buy it there. I've narrowed it down to these three options. Which would you go with?
A. $6.99 a yard, 60" width
B. $6.99 a yard, 60" width
C. $9.99 a yard, 60" width
I need 5 yards for this project.
Wall color and carpet color are irrelevant in your choice - as soon as the shed is built, I'll be painting in there, and that carpet is NOT long for this world and will be replaced with hardwoods or engineered.
I'd say C and you can't get something equally cute for cheaper at Joanns.
I think that the larger repeating pattern isn't going to be fully appreciated with stuff on top of it and only small amounts peaking through. With a small repeat you can see the pattern and it isn't broken up.
B. You may or may not wind up being able to discern the pattern, but it will still be more colorful and more interesting than C. I feel like C is kind of dark and blah.
