And how do you delete a post? I totally was zoning out and posted this on Married Life. OOPS!
I am running a 10k March 17th, and then a half marathon April 7th and I'm not sure how my tapering should be.
Right now my long runs are:
2/23 - 11 miles 3/2 - 12 miles 3/9 - what should I drop it down too? Do I need to taper at all before a 10k? 3/17 - 10k 3/23 - what do I do here? 3/30 - what do I do here? 4/7- half marathon
I guess according to my training schedule if I wasn't doing the 10k I would slowly taper down, but it seems a little extreme to go from running 12 miles to 4 or something the week before the 10k. And then what mileage should I be running between the 10k and the half? Thanks for the help!
I'd do 10 the week before the 10k, but the.n again I usually only take the day off before a 5k or 10k.
I'd do 12/10 and 8/6 the week before the half depending on how you feel. Truthfully, I probably would try and get in another 12, since it will have been a while since your last really long run.
