Friday we didn't do much and stayed at home and relaxed.
Saturday we tried to get some new wheels on my rollerblades and even though they were the right size they still weren't the right kind, so went back to the sports store and exchanged them for a brand new pair of skates altogether. In the evening we went out for my friend's birthday to a hibachi grill and then to a pub, which was a lot of fun.
Yesterday we had a late lunch with my parents and then the H and I went to the theater to see The Avengers in 3D, I think the first time this year we have made it to the movies. It was nice that theater was more than half empty, I am glad we waited a while to see this one.
Friday we had dinner and saw the movie Sound of My Voice.
Saturday we went to an amusement park nearby. It was a lot of fun. The weather was pretty mild here over the weekend, and a lot of people go to that park for the water park -- so it was not crowded at all. Then we came home and did nothing the rest of the night.
Sunday we went to the movies again with my sister to see Snow White and the Huntsman. There was a group of five or six older women (in their 60s) who would not stop talking! People asked them repeatedly to be quiet. H told them multiple times to stop talking. One of the women asked him why, and he replied because other people are trying to enjoy the movie they paid $10 to see. Then the same woman said, well you're talking right now. I almost jumped across the row and smacked her. I expect that from a kid, but a grown woman? Throw in a screaming infant minutes later, I was ready to shank someone. After that disaster, we planted some flowers in the front yard, cleaned up around the house, and then watched Mad Men.

panda, that is why we only go the theater 2-3 times a year tops. We don't always have a pleasant experience b/c of things like that and I just prefer watching something 2+ hours on my own couch where I can pause for pee breaks and make my own healthy snacks. It has to be a very special movie for us to go and even then we never go opening weekend to avoid the crowds. I'm turning into an old sour-puss when it comes to movie-going these days, but then I hear stories like yours and think I am justified in my ways. haha
Friday--I got stuck in an epic downpour while walking the dog after work, so instead of going out, I put on a warm pair of sweatpants, and we ordered pizza. We did end up at our neighbors eventually to hear about their honeymoon.
Saturday--it waa a really early morning for tech (I was at the theatre by 8:00am); then went to some wineries and putt-putt for a friend's birthday. Came home and made it an early night.
Sunday--back at the theatre at 8:00, there until 4:00, then came home, did laundry, grocery shopping, and a little cleaning.
Overall, it was a good weekend. Though I am not ready to be in tech all week.

Well, normally we go to a smaller theater that shows a lot of indie movies and that hardly ever happens there. In fact, I don't recall anyone ever bringing a baby to a movie there! But my sister wanted to go to the fancier theater, and apparently that's where all the annoying old people and babies go.
Good morning! Friday night & Saturday I wrote papers. Sunday I woke up with a bad back. I managed to go see Snow White but had trouble enjoying it cuz i was hurting.

I had a lovely weekend!
Friday night, hubby and I had an "at home" date night. Perfect!
Saturday, I read most of the day, did some laundry and dishes, and then we went to see Snow White and the Huntsman. Save your money, wait for the Redbox.
Sunday I babysat my mom's dog while they went golfing. It was just to make sure he didn't pull at his stitches. I sat outside in their backyard and caught up with some girlfriends and read some junky magazines.
All in all, it was an awesome, relaxing weekend. Love!

Friday: Pedicure with my boss and co-worker. H was acting weird, so we spent some time apart when we got home. Turns out he's just stressed over his job and trying to get a house. We cooked dinner then just chilled and did our own thing.
Saturday: We were lazy bums. Slept-in. Both had headaches. Cooked breakfast. Decided to skip the garden show. Went for a walk. Took like a 3 hour nap. Cooked dinner. Showered. Cuddled on the couch.
Sunday: Breakfast. Cleaning and laundry. Bought a couple of maxi dresses. Men In Black 3. Mexican for dinner. Drove around looking at houses for sale.
Friday we went to happy hour for a friends bday and we bumped into about 20 more people. Needless to say, it turned into happy "night" when we rolled home at midnight.
Saturday, I was super hungover (drank vodka, opps) and had to get up at 8am to teach two classes. I powered through, but it was tough!! I ran wedding errands with my bff after that. Took a quick nap and we also saw Snow White and the Huntsmen - loved it!!!!! We grabbed a late dinner and had a great night.
Sunday I attempted to sleep in and then lounged around until about 11am. I got ready for my bffs shower and headed over there until about 6pm. We had our other bffs over for a cocktail and just lounged around for the rest of the night.
Friday: Worked until 5 took me an hour to get home... Grrr! We ordered KFC potpies for dinner and watched the middle school history bee on the History Channel. Thos kids are so freaking smart. I couldn't sleep so I was up until 4am on my laptop.
Saturday: Woke up at 9am so that we could go watch a youth baseball game in NKY. It was such a beautiful day! After the game we went back home and I sat on my couch the rest of the day/evening. We ordered pizza for dinner. I crashed around 10pm.
Sunday: Talked DH out of going to church. I finally dragged my ass out of bed around 10am. Made us a quick breakfast, started my laundry, fiddled with my flowers/yard for a bit, tried to sit in the sun but it was too cool for our pool/too hot on my patio. So I planted my rump on the couch again. Only getting up to attend to the laundry and go pick up dinner. My original plan for scallops on the grill was shot down by DH who had a craving for Chipotle.
Today my lower back is super sore. I spent far too much lazy time on that damn couch!
My weekend started off terrible but got better quickly :-)
Friday we got hit with a terrible storm. We had tornado warnings and flood advisories. By the time I got home from work it was raining so hard that our sunroom door had water pouring underneath it and water coming in through an upstairs window was dripping through the floor into the living room. I was running around like crazy trying to get towels down and keep the drains in our patio clear. The power went out around 6:15 and didn't come back on until noon on Saturday. A bunch of big trees in my neighborhood came down; one took out our next door neighbors' power lines so they were draped across our roof. The firetrucks came to watch it to make sure our house didn't start on fire. Since we didn't have power and it was really hot in the house without AC and all the windows closed, we went to a local dive bar and watched TV and drank beer till around midnight.
Saturday morning I met my friend's MIL at Starbucks to address bridal shower invitations. By the time I got back, the power was back on, so I took a shower and then we cleaned up all the water and downed tree limbs in our yard. I felt like drinking wine, so we went downtown to a nice restaurant and had dinner and lots of vino. Our neighbors called to say they were starting their fire pit and to come over when we were done, so we went over for more wine and a champagne toast at midnight for Greg's birthday.
Sunday we went to the beer and bacon tasting--it was great! All 7 courses were amazing and they paired the beers really well. It was so beautiful outside when we got home that we put on swimsuits and laid in the back yard for a few hours. Our friends from Philly called to say they were in town, so we invited them and another couple over to bbq and play games and everyone stayed till 11.
Saturday morning got up early and drove to my parents about 2 hours away. Hung out awhile w/ my brother and my 2 nephews then took my mom shopping all day, then ate at Texas Roadhouse for dinner w/ my mom and dad.
Sunday slept in then went to a wedding shower, ate out again with the parents then drove home, got home around 9:30 and crashed.
Friday - we didn't do anything really. Wound up going out for dinner and crashing early.
Saturday - M has to work at 7AM, so I bummed around in bed and then took my dad out for lunch. Once M got home we ran some errands and then ended up sitting around reading (he finally got sucked into The Hunger Games ;D ).
Sunday - Got up earlish to clean up a bit and M and my BFF's H went golfing together. I would have met up with her, but she was solo with her five kids, so my mom and I attempted a mani/pedi (HA! All of ABQ tried too, so we're trying again tonight) and then went home and enjoyed having the house to myself all afternoon. M got home and we grilled some salmon and ate out on the back patio.
We saw The Avengers yesterday, too! The theater was almost full so I'm definitely glad we waited to see it. No gabby old folks or screaming babies, though!
Friday night I drove to Austin and had a girls' night with my mom and sister
Saturday I had a family reunion at Lake Travis in Austin but didn't get to do any swimming there. Afterward I stopped at my dad's house so Miko and I could jump in the pool before our drive back home, and we had a great time. That dog is a fish.
Yesterday DH and I slept in, went to lunch, took a nap, saw a movie, and then went to bed early... it was so relaxing! Seeing DH so exhausted on his one day off is hard to take, and I hope something changes soon or he may have to find another job.

glw, that's one terrible storm, I am glad there wasn't any significant damage to our home! That can be so scary when trees and power lines are knocked down, I am glad you were able to stay safe and the power loss wasn't for too long.
Friday I helped my friend paint her living room/move. Then went out to another friends competition (he's a rapper).
Saturday I slept in, then D and I took the pup to the park. Then we went over to a friend's to go swimming and then out to a bar with a few other friends.    We ended up having an impromtu party at our house, but I passed out super early.
Sunday, we did nothing. It was awesome. I watched about 8 full hours of Wings on Netflix, drank the rest of the beer (  ), and played around on Pinterest.
Today my boss is back from Jamaica-mon, so I'm actually working. At least the day will go by quickly.
GLW - I'm glad your weekend turned around. I would have been freaking out Friday night.
Bridey - You are an amazing wife. Hang in there and let us know if you need anything.

My weekend was great.
Friday I didn't do much. I just cleaned, applied for a few jobs, and killed some time on here in the evening.
Saturday my friend came to visit. I hadn't seen her in awhile so it was really nice! She stayed the night and we stayed up until 3:30am chatting, catching up, and drinking wine. Lots of laughs.
Sunday we slept in, then ate and talked for a while before she left around 5. Last night I went to the gym.
ETA: I completely forgot that I went to my niece's dance recital on Saturday afternoon also. She's only 5 but did a pretty good job for her age. Some of the performances with the older girls and instructors were really good. It made me realize how NOT flexible I am, lol.
Friday - saw Styx in concert, they were awesome! Saturday - bought new bistro set for our patio, had dinner then went to see Snow White/Huntsman with friends Sunday - family time
My weekend was good! I worked for a few hours on Saturday then went to a barbecue. I spent the entire day Sunday working so I'm a little burnt. I'm not complaining though, money is money!
