Can I whine here for a second?
I have an eleven mile run scheduled today. I've got to do it pushing the double Bob stroller with my year old baby in there.Thank the good sweet Lord my mother has agreed to watch the older two. However I don't think the baby is going to sit quietly and just let me do my thing. I can already feel that she's going to be a handful and I will get dirty glares as I push a screaming baby for an hour and fifty minutes.
I am PMSing. I have cramps, and I'm just super short on temper and just feel sucky overall.
DH is out of town until tomorrow evening. He is flying all over the country right now trying to get sponsors and investors for his racing career/startup company. I get that this is once in a lifetime shot sort of a thing, but it means that out of the next thirty days, I am alone with all three kids for at least 12 of them. And right now, I want to chase after them with a steak knife and a red hot poker. (Don't worry, they are fast little suckers, no way could I ever catch one. )
I'm just tired. I didn't sleep well since my son kept on calling me in the middle of the night to potty him. Kid must have drank a gallon of water since it seemed like every half hour he was yelling for me to accompany him to the bathroom.
Oh, and its supposed to be WINDY today. Which means that since it is 36 degrees outside and windy I will have the cover on the stroller. Which ALSO means that the damn stroller will look like a ship with a full sail. Which means that by mile 5 my arms will want to fall off from shoving the dang thing alone.
Is it bad that right now the only reason I AM going for a run is so that I can eat a ton of chocolate tonight and have a beer? :

Dude - whine away! That sounds stressful. 11 miles with a jogger will officially make you badass. I can't even imagine. I would totally be throwing my ipad in there with the kid to at least have some peace on my run.
11 miles with a jogger?! That sounds very cinco-esque! I am super impressed.
My DH travels a ton for work, and with only one I know it's so tough, so I can only imagine with 3.
If you're little one just can't swing it, just do as much as you can and don't worry too much. It's not about a single training run, but about the training over time, that will prepare you for your race.

I made it. Last week I did 10 miles in 1:39, this time I did 11 miles in 1:56. So the run sort of sucked. I walked more than last week (as evidenced by the extra 17 minutes- ouch!) but I'm pretty sure that by April I will be able to hit my goal which was to finish my first half marathon in under 2:30. And the damn jogger better make the actual half super easy- my legs are doing great but my arms are killing me. Pushing and pulling that thing up and down the hills over the run was painful. I've really only run with the jogger so I don't know how I'll do without it, but I am going to have to be faster, just by virtue of not having to dig so deep to climb hills.
As I was running, I checked on my phone my post and saw you nice ladies comments and it totally made me tear up (I'm PMSing people! My hormones are all over the place!). LOL. Thanks for understanding and making me feel better.
Good job with the stroller! I know how much harder that is! I feel your pain, trying to arrange someone to watch my kids so I can exercise is the story of my life. Kids just make everything so much more complicated gotta love 'em though!

Great job!! 11 miles with a jogger is quite a feat. I jog with my boys in our double Bob at times and I'm always significantly slower with them than without. Like the others, I think you are going to crush your 2:30 goal.
