The school district DH subs for (in the same town where I work) has called off school tomorrow. I bet your kiddo's school will call out too, Sue Sue. All of the districts around here have.
I don't think I'll be going to work tomorrow. Again. I've been working from home since last Thursday thanks to all the stupid snow. I JUST WANT TO GO TO THE DAMN ZOO AND GET SOME WORK DONE.
DH made some aaaaaamazing pumpkin/turkey chili tonight. I could eat it forever.
I usually don't like snow but am kind of wishing our expected 3-7 inches will hit a few hours earlier. As it is there's no way my district will call a snow day because its a non student attendance day already (institute). I am feeling under the weather but feel like I can't call into institute meetings.
Doing laundry now, as usual. I'm about to pick up a new book and start reading it a little before bed. We start our foster care licensing classes tomorrow....excited.
H made reservations at The Tower of the Americas in San Antonio for my birthday. It over looks San Antonio and the top of the Tower spins slowly to give you a 360° view of the city. I love this man.
I'm not surprised. They said on the news last night that crews weren't going to salt or sand the roadways until after it stops snowing. I guess they went through half their supply with the storm last week. The roads are going to be awful.

Yes, this surprised me too. They are expecting some ice with this storm as well, and even though we're looking at 8 inches as opposed to 12, it's still going to be a mess. I like it because it means he can sleep in, and I can drive his car (4WD) to work instead of the Miata, which is a deathtrap in weather like this.
If it stops snowing early enough in the day, I might have DH drive me to work in the afternoon. I drive a Mustang, which is about as effective as a roller skate on the snow/ice, whereas DH has 4WD. But I'll see how the roads are tomorrow before I risk it.
We're preparing for an additional 12+ inches tonight. I'm going to bundle M up and take him outside long enough to get a picture. He's going to be pissed! He's been fussy for the last couple of days (I think it's a growth spurt), so being out in the cold for even just a minute will not make him happy. But it's his first snow and I feel like we should get a picture!
H doesn't have to go to work tomorrow! Yay for working at a university!

I'm nervous about my meeting tomorrow. I went to get dinner and drinks with FI and his best friend and now my stomach hurts. I shouldn't have gotten that banana daiquiri(sp?). I need good vibes for my meeting tomorrow .
Ds's fever finally broke about 10 tonight so he will be missing school again. No reason for the fever, just a virus so we are riding it out. Dh is oot for work and I have to go to the dr, I'm not sure what I have, I go back and forth between strep and bronchitis my luck I have both. My best friend from high school was laid to rest today, she was 36 and left behind 4 kids, 17 -6 heartbreaking. Fuck you cancer. I get my new phone tomorrow!! I need more positives!

omg - one of my favorite pictures ever is L screaming in the snow her first year. Absolutely hilarious.
I can hear one of the dogs snoring from across the house.
I took lortab again tonight because my kidney stone is acting up (again) and I'm all hot and itchy (again). Ugh. It's either pain or hot and itchy. I really don't like those choices.
I got absolutely nothing accomplished at work today. Tomorrow is going to suck.
I was able to find what I thought was an oral surgeon to see DH today. Nope, just a dentist. Which would be fine if it was a tooth, but this is far more complex than that. DH said he still isn't sure if they understood what he was telling them. I had his records transfered, he told them they were transfered.
As of now all we know is he has an infection. Not sure if the cyst has re-grown. He got antibiotics so hopefully that will keep it at bay until he gets home and can see his dr.
The kids went to bed great and I got to watch a great KU ISU game.
I am doing much better than I thought I would with DH being out of town. They allowed him to work in town after my dad died. My dad was over 3-4 times during the week when DH traveled, to help or just give me an adult to talk to. That's not to say I haven't been grabbing a kid to sleep with me at night
I had lunch with a college friend/former co-worker. She said they are looking for someone to do some contract work and my former boss was asking if I was available. This could be great. I miss the work I did there.
I'm so over this snow nonsense! I drug my kids on nine errands because we had to cram everything in before we can't leave our house tomorrow. As you might guess, they loved that.

I'm really happy with how well I did today. I ate really well, stayed below my calories, did 60 mins of cardio, AND drank 10 glasses of water. My gut is growling now, so its almost time for bed think.
DS2 has his last day at speech therapy tomorrow. He's progressing so well, I'm so proud of my little guy. His new favorite thing to say is "tay-tu! (thank you) in this adorable high voice, whenever you hand him something.
I am swamped with work this week. There's a major industry conference going on, and I have a huge deadline at the end of the week. Either one of those by themselves would make this week a shitstorm, but I have to juggle both of them at once.
I'm panicky and it's making me want to procrastinate, which I CANNOT DO right now.
I think it's funny to hear about snow days. We got about 9-10 inches today and school will not stop because of the snow. The only reasons school will close is if its too cold out. It's not very cold just snowy.
It's 12:30 am I work at 7 and I can't sleep! Boo...
I've had a cough for three weeks that causes me to have coughing fits for minutes at a time, its been hurting my stomach and throat. I'm going to the doctor today, I'm fearing it might be whooping cough. The Swiss gov't put out a warning that there's been a 60% increase in whooping cough cases this year and recommends those who work in crèches, ages 25-30, and who have not been vaccinated in 10 years be vaccinated again. I fall into all of these criteria.
