Top chef, no spoilers, I'm behind

I ****think***** I may have known Kristen when she was a really little kid!! I may have pictures of her as a 3,4, or 5 year old! Crazy.

I just started watching my DVRd episodes and thought the whole time how familiar she looked. On episode 6, I thought I needed to google her after the episode to see if she was on some other show or whatnot. Then she referenced being adopted from Korea and living in Michigan! So then I really had to google.

I have several Korean cousins and my aunts and uncles did a lot with the rather close-knit community of parents/kids adopted from Korea. I am super close to my cousins and aunt/uncles and often helped out w the kid parties and just joined them at a lot of the fun. Top chef Kristen is from my hometown, lived near my aunt and uncle's house, and is right around the age of my cousins. I remember one little cutie named Kristen that was adorable. I really wonder if that is her! I need to ask my aunt and uncle. May be a long shot, but I couldn't get over how familiar she seemed the whole time. Seems like such a long shot though that her current personality could be anything similar to toddler personality.

It's funny, I've really liked her all along. And don't tell me how she's doing! I'm only on episode 7 I think.
