Just curious if anyone else is watching? I DVR it each week and try not to fall too far behind. It's like comfort TV- I remember how cool I felt when I got to stay up late as a kid and watch it with my mom, not that I really understood any of it!
It is one of my guilty pleasure shows - a nice, delicious soap I can enjoy much as I did as a kid in the 80s. I love that Bobby, Sue Ellen, Cliff, and of course, the love to hate him JR are still very much involved in the storylines. I love Bobby's wife, Ann (I could never stand Pam).
I think it's episode 8 maybe when JR's death (sniff) will play out. The show will not be the same without him.
As for the younger set, I also love the chemistry between Rebecca and John Ross - especially the last episode where he was worried about her being hurt by the Venezuelans and kissed her on the forehead at the end. I have to say I hate Elena and I don't know if it's the actress or perhaps too much Botox, but she is so vacant and boring, and honestly, I can't stand her holier than thou character. Christopher is absolutely boring with her so they can ride off into the proverbial sunset for all I care.
I am rooting for Rebecca (love that she's Cliff's daughter) and yes, John Ross, as the heir to his devilish father's throne. They have both done some awful things but they are much more real and interesting to me than Elena/Chris, the goody goody cardboard cutouts.
I really loved this show last season but this season is still sitting in my DVR since we just haven't gotten around to watching them... Can't wait to see them though!
I liked the judge seeing right through Judith/Harris' BS - H was halfway watching during that part and said, oh, that is so ridiculous, that would NEVER happen in real life.
I just looked at him and said, I don't watch this show because it's just like real life - I watch it because it's good and soapy and fun.

Yeah Elena is really starting to bug me. And I think she's getting way too skinny. She's just starting to look really unhealthy.
I enjoyed the judge laying into Judith and Harris. They so deserved that.
I'm also liking Rebecca and John Ross. They're just more interesting.
I agree with the Elena comment. I find it distracting everytime she's on camera. Her sunken in eyes look unhealthy to me. The preview for next week's episode had JR in it. Although I'm not sure how they will deal with it. I agree the show won't be the same without him.
Love the opening and I still get chills when the cows run across the pasture!
WHY in the world did they cast Judith Light at his mother?? I think she's only about 3 years older than the actor playing Harris. She could have been his sister with some other person as their mother. It throws me off every time they have a scene together.
Do you think the daughter will stick around and become more of a regular character?
JL's breakdown on the stand when she came out as hooker on OLTL was one of the best scenes in soap history (IMHO).
But I agree - sister, maybe, but mother, what was she, 12 when she gave birth? and even that's pushing it. They should have cast a younger Ryland (although the current actor is perfect in the role), then it would have worked.
I think the daughter will stick around and show up at the Ewing ranch, freed from her father and grandmother's clutches, ready to raise cane like a certain Lucy Ewing. And maybe they'll free Christopher from Elena's skeletal grasp and they can pair up. A little weird because they are step-siblings but whatevs.
Speaking of Christopher - why is it never mentioned that he is Sue Ellen's biological nephew, as he is the son of her late sister, Kristin (aka the lady who shot JR)? Making him John Ross' biological cousin as well.
