Lucy- So, if I don't find someone attractive, I'm attacking them? I don't want abs like that. I have not met one straight guy that wants me to look like that. I work out and I'm happy with the way I look. This is why someone giving their opinion on the way I look, or the way someone else looks does not bother me like it bothers you and so many of the other women. If you have high self-esteem the opinions of others don't/won't phase you.
She's not being called manly, because she does not have an hourglass shape, she is being called manly, because she has a man's body....very muscular arms and that GI Joe, or v-shaped middle area. Men that are in shape look like her. I'm pretty sure the op did not say she is not a woman.
Why can't people have a differing opinions on this board? I don't find this type of body attractive, but that is my opinion. I like Sophia Vergara's body. Some of you may think she is fat, but I'm not going to attack someone and tell them that their opinion is dumb.

OMG you are so fucking moronic and stubborn it isn't even funny debating with you. YOU ATTACKED HER BY CALLING HER MANLY. Calling a woman manly is insulting, just like calling a man feminine. You actually said "she has a man's body". You don't see how that is insulting?
I am curvy too, and the only way to see my abs is to cut me open and dig for them. I don't feel the need to put down other women just because we look different. I don't need to say "wow she is so attractive" in order not to be an asshole.

Thank you for painting the picture so black and white for all of us.
I can have high self esteem and still get irritated when I think someone is being insulted. It's one thing to say "meh, I don't find the muscular look too attractive" and quite another to say "what's with those hips? she looks so masculine," or "she doesn't have a female body, no guy I know would ever be attracted to that."
I think she looks awesome. She does a lot of dancing and running around, etc. when she's live in concert (I'm not a huge fan of her music but I am a big fan of her!).
She works her ass off for that body-and let's not forget she had a baby not that long ago (a year or so?) and she was not ashamed to be seen out and about right after birth looking like a normal woman who just had a baby.
We aren't calling her a man, she has the body of one. Did I say that was bad? Stop taking your insecurites out on me and work on yourself!
Do you not get how it is offensive to say a woman has a body of a man? Are you that dense? And how is it that other people are feeling insecure about this? Only insecure people attack other people's bodies. And I only see a certain person doing that..........

OP asked why it's a masculine shape. The answer is because she's built that way. She has narrow hips. OP is welcome to find that body shape unattractive, but it's still super bitchy to critique her like there's something wrong with her.

To clarify, I think it's absurd that you think it's ok to attack someone who clearly spends a lot of time on her body, yet if we were criticizing someone who was overweight, I think you wouldn't like that as much.
I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be bullied out of my opinion. She has a very manly body and I'm sticking to that. I never said that was bad, but most of you have serious problems and always need to fight other people and I don't have the time for that. If I wanted abs like that...I would have them, but I don't want them, because I don't find them attractive.

Chips, now that you've seen me without makeup, will you PIP your abs?
That type of dress would look better on someone with an hourglass figure, just like other dresses look better on someone who is straight up and down. I'm sorry, that you are so insecure that you took offense to that. Just because I don't like her shape does not mean I'm overweight. I'm not attacking her. Can all of you give me a list of words you find offensive so I won't upset your insecure little girl hearts?
I'm just jumping in here to say that I'm going to see Pink on Saturday night in Nashville as a birthday present to myself. She is awesome. I would kill someone for half of her body.
The people that I'm working with are reading this and they are laughing their asses off. They are like, "why are they turning your words around and making things up. What is wrong with them?"

Oh yes, the invisible colleagues to your defense. Next step, your H will make an account to tell us to grow up.
i did not realize that these alleged straight men and their dicks were the final arbiters on what is or is not attractive in a woman, or what does or does not constitute "manliness."
