I'm the adviser for our high school paper, and we recently went to an online version. The kids suggested making a FB page to drum up student interest, and I agree that it would, so I am fine with setting it up and being the sole administrator for it.
My question is: Is it possible on FB to moderate comments and posts? In other words, fans can post comments, but it gets e-mailed to me first for approval? I have set up the page (unpublished) and can make it so no one else can post on the timeline at all, but I would like to give them the opportunity, just with moderation since it is a school site. I also don't see anyway to do this for actual comments (on posts or photos) at all.
I've never set up an organization page before, so I am clueless on if this is possible. I would REALLY like to be be able to moderate comments; I don't think students would post dumb stuff because it is not anonymous, and I can see who they are, but it still makes me a tad nervous. But by not allowing ANY posts, I feel it will get boring and fall flat.

Yeah I can delete anything that is posted, or I can not let anyone post. But it looks like I can't have the comment e-mailed to me before publishing (like you can with blogs)
I think I might try it out anyhow with no posts being allowed to see how many "likes" we get.
