Anyone have some?
I have a sore on my thumb knuckle that has been there for over a year. I think it is a splinter, it's not red or anything and I keep trying to get it out to no avail.
I also have a scar on my arm where I got cut by a piece of lath.
H once ran the back of my foot with a skidloader bucket during a barn remodel. I couldn't walk right for a week and it was 6 months before the bruise was entirely gone. There's a little indent yet where the edge of the bucket "cut in."

Thankfully no!
DH has had his share of stupid accidents - once he drilled into his finger nail another time he scratched his cornea from sawdust in his eye (he learned an important lesson - always wear safety glasses). I sliced my thumb pretty badly on the stupid dishwasher handle when I was installing it, but other than that I'm accident free.
Hehe. It wasn't funny at the time, but it kind of is now. DH cut his thumb pad off with the miter saw. I heard the screams and thought immediately that he'd lost a finger. I took a deep breath before running downstairs, telling myself "You can do this, just find the finger and put it in a Ziplock on ice. You can do this." Luckily I didn't have to pick up any parts! We went to the e-room later that day when it wouldn't stop bleeding. We were the only ones there, so every single employee came in the room when word got around that there was a "power tool accident" in room 3. They sprayed him down with saline, gave him some dressing, charged us our $100 deductible, and told him he would have a new fingerprint when it grew back

Juno - that's crazy! My grandfather lost several finger bits to several table saw accidents. Including half his pointer. Two of this incidents occurred on my birthday years apart. Crazy right?
My DH has had stitches twice in his hand, once renovation related. Funny, I can't remember how he cut it the first time. Oh wait! It wasn't renovation related! He was helping me with my brother's wedding invitation and cut his finger with the xacto on literally his first cut. Didn't get any blood on the paper tho. That's my man!
I've had lots of little bumps and scrapes. I'm trying to remember if any of them were interesting. Nothing I can think of but I've pretty much had at least one scab or bruise at all times for the past 18 months.
Mh's best was when he tried to catch a hunk of bathroom ceiling as it fell and ended up with a nice puncture wound in his hand. He had no explanation of why he tried to catch it. We were doing demo so it's not like he wasn't TRYING to knock it down.

R had to ice his finger a few nights ago because he smashed it with a hammer.
Best I can do is a giant blister from the "comfort" handle on a screwdriver and a 2nd degree burn from an oven rack while fixing dinner in the new oven last week.

Do psychological ones count too? jk. My brother was helping me take down the lathe on my ceiling in the kitchen. This one piece swung down and totally hit him in the nuts. I thought he was going to fall off the ladder.

The old owners of our house painted everything... like all the windows are painted shut and all the hardware is painted to whatever it is attached to. I was trying to cut some old curtain rod down. I slipped and BAM cut my thumb. I thought I had escaped with little injury. I was wrong. I could see the bone. I also couldn't bend it in one direction. I severed a tendon. Luckily it happened early in the morning so I hadn't had anything to eat or drink for over 12 hours. They surgically fixed it when I went to the ER. I was in a cast for 10 weeks then had to do physical therapy.
ETA: The scar is surprisingly impressive. There's the original scar from me cutting myself, the scar they made to make the incision for surgery, plus 3 smaller scars they made to try to find the tendon I severed.

Thank goodness, no. But I leave the heavy stuff to my FIL and H. I do, however, have some pretty gnarly iron burns. Because I use an iron so infrequently. Susie Homemaker I am not.
I slipped in the tub and fell face-first into the tile wall when I was re-caulking it. I thought I was ok, but a few days later one of my front teeth turned purple. The impact of the fall caused my tooth to shift and damaged a nerve. I ended up needing a root canal and had to have my front tooth crowned.
I think there's still some blood on the BR ceiling from when H was painting the ceiling and knocked his head and he was heading up the ladder. Also, my H dropped my desk while moving around the furniture and almost broke his foot.

I refinished my hardwood floors myself once. After the third coat of finish, I left to go back to my apartment where I was living until I was done. I have no memory of driving home. I came back the next day and had left all the doors wide open. I had some sort of chemical wackiness from inhaling the finish fumes.

OMG. Why did I read this? WHY?? I haven't been abot to stop thinking about it all day. And thinking about buying a mouthguard for everyday use. I mean, I've thought about that before because of my well-documented dental-work phobia, but OMG. OMGOMGOMGOMG!!1!1!!

LOL, sorry to tap into your worst fears. Luckily I don't have a dental phobia, so it wasn't as bad to me. I think new2this2's severed tendon is the worst.
