So I got a BFP at the end of January, like the 21st, so I jumped into Got Pregnant. Then a week later I miscarried. So now I am here. Hi! I have a question that maybe you all can help me with. My Dr said we needed to wait one cycle to try again. Yesterday 2/28, I started my 1st period since the loss. Does that mean that I can start again now, or is it the one after this? I realize this is probably a dumb question, but when we were at the appt I was having a hard time focusing on what was said. Thanks in advance!
I'm so sorry for your loss. I think you should probably call your doctor's office and ask them this question. It's different for everybody, and the best advice to follow is the advice you get from your OB/GYN.
Welcome back, though I'm sorry you have to be here.
First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss. I miscarried at 10 weeks in December, and it sucked.
It sounds like you've had "one full cycle." Generally they mean miscarry, get your period a month (or so) later, then you're good to go. Sometimes doctors will track your HCG levels down to zero, but probably not if you miscarried at 5 weeks. At any rate, you should double-check with your doctor to make sure you're okay to start trying again instead of just taking my word for it:-) I hope you have good luck and are back on the Got Pregnant board really quickly:-)

First, sorry about your loss.
Second... I'd let this cycle go by before trying. I had an ectopic pregnancy last year, and it was a bit more complicated since they had to monitor my hcg for a month to make sure it went down to 0, so we had to be super careful. Then we had to wait a cycle until they gave us the green light to try again (I went on BCP after that, though, so getting pregnant again wasn't an issue).
Anyway, if you're unsure of what your instructions were, call your OB office and double check. Most likely, though, you should skip this cycle, and then if you're ready to try again, go ahead next cycle.

Sorry to hear about your loss
Personally I would take it to mean that you should go through a full cycle - as in, don't try this cycle but wait for the next one. But like others have said, everyone's instructions are different so you might want to check with your doctor.
