I know I've been a Debbie Downer here lately, so I wanted to give an update from a much better place(mentally/emotionally). I had an appointment with my primary care today that went SO well. It was a new doctor since my old doctor moved, so I was worried about this super new resident, but I LOVE her. We talked and she didn't make me feel rushed or crazy or that my charting measures were extreme. She did a quick pelvic exam (whups.. shoulda shaved muh legs..) and said things look normal as far as she can see there (obviously not much, but silly not to check the obvious/easiest first). I had blood drawn primarily to rule out thyroid problems and the doc said DH should go ahead and schedule an SA. She kept stressing that I call her with the SA results (since they would be done elsewhere and my husband isn't her patient), and she seemed to genuinely care. She said if the blood work and SA come through clear, she will let me decide if that info is enough good news to keep at it, or if I want a referral to an RE. So a plan and a primary care doc that I really like! Can't really hope for more than that for today!
Oh! And something came up that no one ever asked about and I never thought about -- I had told drs previously that my mom had a m/c but 2 healthy babies. This doc asked about my mom's family (her mom/sister etc), which reminded me that my mom's half sister was never able to have kids. I don't know if anything was ever tested/diagnosed though.
Now to find a way to ask my mom without telling her we are ttc...
