Nine adults, five kids and amazingly it wasn't a complete shit show, LOL.
LOL!
Friday I was in Dallas to freelance for a training meeting. It was a LONG ass day. I believe I had dinner at 11pm.
Saturday was more of the same, except the meeting ended at 3-ish, and my boss bought me a cocktail before I headed to the airport. Why is it that every other time I drive home from Logan, someone on I-93 gets in a major accident that delays me?
Sunday was DD's birthday! She woke up and said, "Is it my birthday? Do I get my panda cake? And presents?" She got a ton of gifts I have to find room for, and an all-around good day. And DH let me nap, which was key. I have been SO sick.
Never thought I'd say this, but I'm happy it's Monday. The ILs just left, my house is quiet, and I'm going to run a few errands before spending the afternoon with DD
On Saturday I went BM dress shopping with my sister and the other three bridesmaids. We were looking at dresses by Bill Levkoff since he seems to have tons of different designs and my sister was just going to pick a color and fabric and then we each get to choose our own dresses. Amazingly, we each found one we liked and I already got some online quotes that are significantly cheaper than Bella Sera's, so it was a very efficient day. We have an appointment in a few weeks to try J. Crew dresses though so we'll wait until after that to decide.
I don't know if this is something that the stores tell you to scare you, but I heard that with bridesmaid dresses it is important that you order all of them at once because there are sometimes color variations in the fabric. True or false?
My weekend was lovely - my parents came to visit. I had to work Friday night so I left them at home with H to have dinner - I owe him on that one! Then we went to the farmer's market on Saturday and then for a 4 mile walk on the Blackstone River Bikeway. then they took me and H out to dinner at at a neighborhood gastro-pub. All in all, it was a lovely weekend.
Today I was supposed to have jury duty but it was cancelled. Hurray for found time at the office.
Sunday we went to Cabot's to celebrate my friend's birthday. Nine adults, five kids and amazingly it wasn't a complete shit show, LOL.
Mmm, Cabots. Your friend has excellent taste.
The weekend was a mixed bag. Friday night, I went out with friends to some newish place in Harvard Square, and made the mistake of ordering a froofy cocktail first. About 20 minutes later, I started to feel SO SICK. It was awful. I had to jump in a cab, and I barely made it home on time. I was totally fine once I got the evil out, but that place is dead to me. As are froofy cocktails. I will be sticking to dive bars and beer/wine, thanks.
Saturday, H and I took it easy in the morning, then headed into the Pru to do some shopping and grab some dinner. It was so crowded over there; it was insane. I didn't even buy anything, except a book from BN so we could get validated parking in the garage. We tried to get in to the Salty Pig, but there was already a half hour wait at like 5:15. Which, no. There are 30 other restaurants in a 10 block radius. I don't wait for dinner at 530, heh. So we walked over to Coda and had a really nice dinner there. Then we went home and watched Young Adult for the 3rd time.
Yesterday, I got a massage in the morning, and it was awesome. Then in the afternoon, we ran some errands and grabbed lunch at The Gaff over in Waltham. But I am still SO TIRED, because all I want on the weekend is one day to do nothing. And H just wants to get out of the house. It's a battle of wills sometimes, but he usually wins, because he's so effing cranky otherwise, heh.

They told me that when I was ordering my BM's dresses, too. I wasn't really an uptight bride, so my sisters ordered theirs in WI and the others were ordered in Chicago. I couldn't tell a difference at all.
I had heard the same about bridesmaids dresses. My bm's dresses are from Bella Bridesmaids and so we ordered all 3 from the same location just in case.
My weekend went by fast and was spent doing a lot of wedding stuff. I had my first wedding gown fitting on Saturday. Sunday - we ordered a lot of stuff - FI's clothing for the wedding, bridesmaids robes for getting ready, bracelet and earrings for wedding, sign for wedding and cuff links for FI.
It was The Sinclair. Some pomegranate ginger vodka drink. As soon as I tasted it, I thought, "oh my." But I was so cranky and all I wanted was a damn drink, and the waiter was nowhere in sight. I totally should have sent it back. Oh well, lesson learned.
Went for a run Saturday morning and then had my sister, BIL and niece over that evening and we went out to dinner. I then caught a late movie with my husband. Finally say Silver Linings Playbook and really liked it!
Sunday was a joint house cleaning/errand running day and then we spent the afternoon lounging catching up on some tv shows together.
I like Bill Levkoff dresses! I had them for my wedding party and I believe they came out to $125 each, we ordered them online from Bridal Mart (this was also 5 years ago)
I spent $228 on a BM dress last summer plus alterations (which were poorly done) and I'm still bitter about it today....
Has anyone sold their BM's dresses on ebay or elsewhere? anywhere to donate them?
Yes Bridal Mart was great! They have an actual brick/mortar location but its down in NC. Regardless everything was seamless and came in earlier then expected.
