Hi! I read your intro, and it says you and your H are profoundly deaf. I have two completely deaf (since birth) BILs (my H is oldest and has normal hearing). One is married to a deaf woman, and the other BIL is marrying a hearing woman in August.
My question to you is, what do you and your H do for a living? My BIL and his wife are both college-educated, but are having an extremely hard time finding work based on the fact that most companies they apply to don't get back to them, or once they interview and find out they're deaf, they don't get the job. I know everyone's supposed to be an 'equal opportunity employer', but in the state of WA, we're a 'no fault' state, so they don't have to provide a reason to not get a job or lose a job. And unless they can prove without a doubt there was discrimination, they can't do anything about it.
Just looking for some advice to see if I can help them in any way.
