Lots of moving paperwork. Daily freakouts about whatever new thing that might go wrong. Today it's that I accidentally turned in the moving paperwork requesting the same date for all three shipments. So, that's gonna have to change.

On a side note, we just found a sun spider in the house. DH tried to kill it and it fell on the ground. We both screamed like 6 year old girls. I wish I could have that on video.

Eff those things. We had them like CRAZY in our backyard down there. Are you guys on base again?
We're out in town this time. We're saving a lot of money doing that.
Been crazy busy trying to get together a visa application to go to India for work. Problem is, I'm a Canuck with US residency that is temporarily in Korea due to DH's orders.
Let's just say that hits every special snowflake button for visa processing... Which means I need to get that much more crap pulled together for the application.
But, I managed to submit it today! The Indian Embassy here refuses to give me a long-term visa (wanted a 5 year multiple entry, they're letting me get a 3 month, single entry). But, they're letting the visa application get processed, which I'm going to count as a win.
Tonight I will be celebrating with some Jamesons. Mmm... Jamesons...
I'm listening to tori Amos, and it brings me to my happy place. I don't care if this song came out when I was in high school (um, over a decade ago). Happy. Peaceful. Naive. Happy.
Yeah. I saw this story hit, and now it's just a waiting game to see how long it takes for the fallout from it to hit up here.
Rumor mill around here is saying that the Korean police feel justice was served since the guy got shot, instead of just getting away. We were actually out at a bar across the street from where this happened and knew nothing about it until the next day. It might explain why we didn't even see the MP patrol on our way home, though. It's such a crazy story!

Huh. Somehow that's not too shocking (the whole justice is served thing).
Are you down at Yongsan? I was in your neighbourhood today... I visited the commissary there today - I think the commissaries up here would fit in the freezer section of the yongsan commissary! It was nice to be in a normal sized commissary, even if I could only pick up a couple things because I had to transit them home.

We are here for a little bit longer, then heading down to Area III. I was at the commissary at 1:30 today. We could have seen each other and never have known it! I'm
My husband must have forgotten how to do laundry because he was mad this morning that his black socks weren't clean. I have half a mind to stop doing his laundry if he thinks I'm some kind of maid. I really hate being unemployed because then his excuse is "I work and you don't". I've been running around with him for the past 4 days so, unemployed or not, he had just as much time to do laundry as I did.
And why do people have to be so stupid? Shooting any kind of gun, bb or toy or otherwise, in such a busy area is insane. As is trying to lie about who shot you.

Well, his first stories of what happened were lying about who shot him. Then the info started popping up on the net. Then the stories changed several times. There were arguments about if he was an idiot or a war hero. One family member started posting links onto the FB pages of news reporters. The family was pissed and went off. Then she blamed it on her son. Now she blames it on her daughter in law for blabbing about the posts. It's just a huge mess.

sounds like a huge mess! craziness
Family drama is never fun. Facebook just adds a public layer to the madness. I hope things settle down.
I don't want to know what a Sun Spider is, but I do know that I would probably scream... And Hell hath no fury if H brings that shit home...
Eff that.
Seriously. We have enough spiders currently in residence, I do not want nor need more. The ones we have are big and ugly enough. I had not realized that there are such big spiders in Germany.
Perhaps I'll suggest to DH that he put his duffle bags out back upon his return.
