You guys remember how I ordered a rug? Well they're only refunding me $93.20 of the $308 price because it was damaged when they received it back. Ughhh...Lame.
Problem solved. Chatted with a person and demanded photo proof of the "damage". She could not find any record of what the damage was or provide me a photo so she's issuing me the rest of the money. What rats.
I just sent back a rug on Monday. Nervous I'm going to have this same problem now! I'm happy you got it resolved. I don't think I'll be buying from Overstock again either. Having to pay to return something that isn't as pictured is too frustrating.
That's frustrating, I'm glad you got the refund. Honestly, my experience with Overstock customer service has been pretty stellar. Despite having a few order hiccups, I think Overstock has great deals too.
ETA: Cajungirl - if the rug was not as pictured, you can try to get a full refund, including shipping. I've done it successfully on Overstock. If you didn't read customer reviews, definitey do it in the future. Usually the people's descriptions are helpful understanding the true appearance of a product.
Yeah, overstock has been great to me so I can't complain. I just usually stick with cheaper no big deal stuff (bedding) or have a back up plan (sell to it a family member) if it's a bigger ticket item. Their return policy is a PITA and not for me at all. I just know I can't deal with it so I don't.

I'm glad you got your money back. I'm always terrified of shipping things and probably overpack things just to overcompensate for the fact that the copmanies don't do the best job being careful with things. (I've seen bad things, my dad works for one lol.)
I ordered a rug from Overstock many, many years ago and it was a completely different color than the picture. It ended up working in a different room in our house, so I didn't bother returning it, but ever since then, I've been afraid to buy rugs on line because I feel like you just can't tell what they really look like and I imagined that returning them would be a nightmare (as it clearly was for you).
Has anyone ever hit the Home Depot rug sales that they hold in their parking lots every now and then? Those always intrigue me.
I haven't seen those. But I have found that once or twice a year at my Costco they bring in stacks of wool rugs that seem to be good prices (not their regular selection of rugs). Some knotted, some tufted. It's a crap-shoot on finding the colors you need in the correct size, but they have some quality things. I'm not sure if that happens in every Costco or just some of them.
I had the same experience with an Overstock rug because a completely different color than described/pictured. I was able to return it for a full refund.
The sad thing is I LOVED the rug. It was a little lighter than I expected though and way too big for the space. The next size down is smaller than our current rug and they don't have an in between size. So bummed. :-(
