If it's a girl it will be Violet after DH's grandma and if it's a boy it will probably be Gabriel (DH's confirmation name - we aren't religious, just both like the name).
I finally heard of another person with the name I have in mind for a girl that DH tried to tell me wasn't a real name. Maricela. Lisette for a middle name.

Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
I've become one of those people who doesn't want to share my top 2 favorite names bc they're uncommon-ish but becoming more popular and I don't want them to rise anymore. Lame, I know, so I'll post the ones I'm not attached to.
For boys, it's all family names for us: Carter, Andrew, Henry, William, George, Arthur.
For girls, I'm a total romantic. Alinore (medieval Eleanor), Alethea, Celeste, Daphne, Diana, Georgiana, Ianthe, Isadora, Lydia, Phoebe.

I really like Gabriel but I used it on our dog.
Haha. I really like Molly as a girl name, but it was also the name of my husband's childhood golden retriever. He is vehemently opposed to using a "dog" name on a kid.
Jackson is my favorite for a boy. Is that too popular right now? For a girl I like Amelia, Hannah and Charlotte.
Jackson has become more popular over the past few years. It was the 23rd most popular boy name in 2011, but that only amounts to 0.6% of boys born in 2011. Of course "too popular" depends on personal preference.
Paige Michele is my favorite for a girl. H likes it but is not in love with it like I am. We'll see.
We have a running list of both boy and girl names. We have decided to give each other unlimited vetoes so neither of us has a child with a name we hate.
Boys: Caleb Hamilton (middle name) Keaton Grant? (Middle name) Landon Garrett Mason Isaiah Simon Elijah
For a boy we are thinking Blake for a first name, it's about the only one we both like, even though DH doesn't like 1 syllable names. I like Archer for a middle name, but he's not sold on it. I even like Sebastian for a first name, but I don't think DH does.
For a girl, he likes Heidi Anne, it sounds great with our last name, but it makes me think of a maxim hometown hottie...If we are going with an H name I like Hailey better. Otherwise I like Karina and Ava.
belovedbride07 Anna Lucia is a beautiful name! I may be a bit biased though!
We dicussed this a long time ago, I think even before we got married and decided on two names. However a good friend (unknowing) stole our boys name so we haven't figured out a new one!
Girl: Rosamaria Victoria Boy: Giovanni Thomas (stolen) so maybe Salvatore, Vincenzo, Giuseppe...ugh I don't know!

I'm curious what people think of Silas. It just popped onto my radar and I waffle between really liking it and thinking it sounds like a villain name (which may be due to Sylar from Heroes).
I love the name Lucy, but I think I'll forever equate Lucy to LHC (reg on ML) so I don't know! lol.
For a boy, we like Thomas as our first pick and Elliot for a second choice. For a girl I really like Harper but I think it's tooooo trendy right now. Also, Clara and Helen.
I'm sure I'll think of more and more and more, but these are the favs for now.
We've pretty much agreed on middle names - family names (2 middle names for boy or girl, the male middle name from DH's side of the family is still a toss up between his grandfather and his great grandfather). First names haven't been discussed yet, I have a list going on Evernote, but my favorites change daily.
