My new salon charges $85 for a haircut. Highlights are $95. I think this is pure insanity especially since I only ever get a trim! I'm probably going to end up going somewhere else for the haircut because that is insane.
I can't remember the last time I just got it cut, but will find out next weekend as I'm trying to grow things out a bit. Maybe $20 for a dry cut and $25 w/shampoo? I know it's pretty cheap.
My stylist charges $42 for a cut, I'm not sure about highlights because I don't color my hair. She does charge an additional $10 to run a flat iron over my hair and smooth it out after she's done with the cut and blow dry, though. Is that normal?
$40 for shoulder length and up. $45 for below the shoulder. this includes shampoo and blow dry. my stylist only charges me $40 because I'm a long-term, loyal customer and my hair length changes every 3 years or so. she knows my hair and its little quirks and oddities well, so she can shampoo, cut, dry and style my hair in less than 30 minutes. I haven't check the color prices in a while (they're not online) but I think it's $75 minimum for single process, $95 for partial highlights, and on up. the last time I colored my hair at the salon it was for partial highlights and double process color for the base color, and I think it was $160 including the tip.
I'm not exactly sure, since I usually end up getting highlights or an all over color along with the cut. It's about $190 with cut and highlight. I know... madness.
But it also depends on the stylist. Mine is one of the highest in the salon.
If I'm just going to get a trim (which is my plan for next time), I'm hoping to find another place that's cheaper.

$40 for a level one stylist and $85 for my highlights. My salon makes level ones do a 6 month apprenticeship in addition to Cosmetology School to make sure their skills and service are up to par. They also require everyone including the apprentices do continuing ed for 3-4 hours every week with no exceptions and quarterly seminars out of the area in their specialities (Deva Curl, precision cutting, color). Their level one tends to be at least a level two everywhere else. I'm in a very low cost of living area though.
I think it's $60, but I don't ever just get my haircut. I get cut + color and it costs me $130. My stylist owns her own salon and I've been going to her for 14 years...she could raise her prices and I would still go to her.

$36 before tip. I just started seeing her and will never go anywhere else. It's taken me forever to find someone who can actually cut my hair without butchering it.
Usually I go to my sister who is in hair school, so it's like $5, lol. I get half off of the already cheap prices and can get a facial for $7. Her hair school is almost an hour away though so it is a PITA to get there most times since I have a 2 year old.
Last week I went to a new place in town and it was $30 before tip.

I go to the salon my friend works at, so she gives me a serious discount. To cut, color, and highlight my hair is usually $75. That’s crazy cheap around here for that quality.
My normal stylist is $55 but she's so far away and so I'm going to try another stylist out closer to home. She trimmed my bangs for me last week and trimmed my ends for the heck of it. She's $40 but I just signed up for the salon's online club or whatever and got a $10 off coupon. Saweeet.
