They're also charging for paint sticks if you don't buy paint. I know someone who works at a HD and they said it is insane how many women come in and say "I saw this thing on pinterest..." and then clean them out of sticks or a whole section of color cards. Then they have customers who buy paint and need a stick and they don't have anymore so then the customer gets mad.
Good. I hope other stores follow their lead. It wasn't HD, but the past few times I've gone in to get a gallon of paint, they've been completely out of sticks. I don't get mad at the employee or anything, but it's definitely annoying that people go in and just clean them out.
Good for them. I knew there would be a backlash to all of the paint chip and paint stick projects.
I don't even hate all of the projects, I have just always felt that taking all of the chips and paint sticks would raise costs for the stores and would filter down to consumers eventually...not to mention that it would inconvenience actual customers. I didn't need it, but I still feel validated. ;p
LOL. I love it! Mainly because it's probably going to save the world from one more godawful pinterest inspired sunburst mirror or wreath creation!
But let's not screw with the pallets just yet...mmmm...kay? I have a semi load of those headed to my barnyard next week and once the seed corn is off, I have big plans to fund Ruby's college education! LOL. ;P End tables all around!
Good for them! I figured it was only a matter of time. I see a ridiculous amount of projects/ crafts that use paint chips. The Chew on ABC just did a calendar using paint chips this week! They are meant for people who are buying paint and I hope other stores do the same as HD to keep it that way.

good, except I have found that sometimes the visions of life that are conjured by the paint names get in my head and I can't see the color objectively, so I try my hardest to not look at the color name until it's time to tell the paint mixer what I want.
