Sometimes I wish I had gone that route. I would love to work for a 5 star hotel. I hear the industry is pretty brutal though. But, free hotel stays all over the world, count me in!

Ha, well I don't get any special perks like free hotel stays since I work for a private club. The hours are tough and it can be exhausting at times. You give up nights, weekends, and holidays, and have to always put forward a happy face. Overall though, I really like my job a lot. I feel like I have a second family at work, which includes the members we serve. Country clubs are definitely their own niche in the hospitality world.
round 1 - BA in microbiology. I worked in a medical research lab at a hospital for a couple years while I considered pursuing Ph.D in that general area.
