I was an MIS/CompSci major in college... worked in that field for 5 years in the late 80s/early 90s and knew it wasnt for me. I've worked in Training and Org. Development for the last 20+ years and its exactly what I love.
I SO could not see myself living in ITS land the rest of my life...
how about you? I'm always fascinated to see if what people thought they wanted to do at 18 years old is what they end up doing the rest of their life/career.
I was an English lit major the first time around. Then I waited tables for 11 years. Then I went back to school for physical therapy and now practice....physical therapy! Got it right the second time around.

BS in education with a concentration in science, and a minor in communications. Currently, I'm long term subbing in a Montessori lower elementary class (combined 1st, 2nd& 3rd grades)
Undergrad: Exercise Science, minor in Philosophy Then I went to law school, where I got a certificate in Public Law and Policy and focused on government affairs. Now I'm a stay at home wife. Sigh.
I would have a degree in dance but I herniated a disk in my back the end of my sophomore year. I wanted to finish on time, and had lots of English lit classes. So, I finished with a creative writing degree.
Now I sell real estate. I wanted to do it in high school but my mom told me that wasn't a real job. Then my parents started to buy rental properties, suddenly it became acceptable.
eta: I liked my own post on accident, how stupid is that?
If I named my majors you could find me in 3 Google seconds (it's an odd combination and shows up on my vitae,) but I'm now a professor in one of those fields.

I have a bachelors in chemistry and acting. I worked as the youth director for a theatre for 8 years before moving to Peru, and now teach middle school math.
