I would just get a regular one. I haven't used one of these, but the point of foam rolling to to target specific muscle areas and I feel like this roller is just going to hit random spots, you know? It seems it would be harder with this to target the areas you need it.

We have a trigger point. I like it. When you are putting your weight on it and rolling, it hits everything.
I have never used a regular roller, so I can't give a comparison. My H bought the trigger point a couple of years ago. It has held up well (and my toddler loves to play with it .
