Whatever you guys feel up to is fine. EOD is recommended if there is a sperm issue, I believe, but if there are no issues, ED is fine. We do EOD day during my FW because neither of us is up for ED!
How often do you have sex? During the month and during your fertile times.
Dumb question (I am embarrassed to ask), but would doing it everyday be bad? Will it dwindle the sperm count or something?
I was thinking we would just try doing the deed everyday next week so we don't miss a possible window lol. Or would EOD be better?
I don't want to start tempting or using opks just yet, I know I will drive myself crazy if I do.
The issue with this is that you don't really know when you are ovulating without charting, so if you are just going to have sex, you probably should start now and have sex every day or every other day until the end of your cycle.

I agree with this. We try for EOD during my fertile window.
Temping is a lot of work and because you have data every day, you feel like each day's data MUST tell you something. I think it's fine to put it off if you're just starting.
I'd recommend, though, taking OPKs. Doing it EOD or ED from day 6 to day 24 will get old and exhausting really quickly. Even if you and your H are used to having this much sex, you'll be amazed at how different it feels when there is a goal other than just having a good time.
I'd recommend getting a box of OPKs and using them even these first few months. Go easy on yourself; if you get a + and you don't feel like doing it, don't. Don't beat yourself up over it.
The directions should tell you what day to start testing (it will be different depending on the length of your cycle). Start on that day, stop when you get a +. After a few months you'll figure out that you usually ovulate (for instance) around day 11 and you can start testing later/earlier to meet your needs. You'll use fewer tests after you've gotten the hang of it.
Listen, though, it is TOTALLY ok to just keep having sex every day. If that's your thing, that's your thing. I respect you trying to be breezy about this at first. Really! Good luck to you and your H! Have fun!

We were having sex every day during my FW, but DH's doctor suggested EOD--even before we got his crappy SA results back. We're going against doctor's orders this cycle and doing it ED because I've actually been in the mood (which I haven't really been since the holiday stress started in November). (devil)
If I weren't charting, I would probably aim for EOD for the two middle weeks of my cycle (and sure, you could ovulate earlier or later than that, but it seems like a statistically safe bet)...but I know that would get old after a few cycles and I'd want to find a way to cut that down (via charting or OPKs).
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

This.
Have you read TCOYF yet? You need to - I can't stress it enough. I am constantly amazed how any woman in the world ever gets pregnant accidentally (the book explains all the stars that have to align), so I think just randomly having sex when you think it might be good is a waste of time and energy.
And without charting, I would never have known I normally O on CD19 or that I randomly O'd on CD22 this month for no apparent reason. Sex on CD14 would never work for me.
ditto OP. I O between CD9-CD12, so I would miss my window completely. We usually space it by 18 hours (AM, next day PM). But I'm not KU yet, so who knows if that's good/bad.

For us it just depends on the month and when H is around. When we first started trying it was ED. Now we try EO the week of and when it gets closer to O ED.
I had a weird last cycle and had ewcm for weeks. Of course, as soon as I noticed it we got busy and then I didn't want to stop until it went away! I think my vagina almost fell off. EOD for this month.
My H and I are long distance most of the time so we take advantage of the time we are together! I am using OPKs, so we can predict when we may need to take a quick road trip to see each other. We usually try for every day if we can during my fertile week, but I'm not pregnant yet either, so take that with a grain of salt.

Since we're basically having sex for fun right now, we do it about once a week, more if I'm feeling frisky or if it's J's birthday or we have clean sheets on the bed, haha.
For baby making purposes, we did it every other day during fertile times, and if I had EWCM, then we'd do it that day, too. I remember very distinctly the day we conceived M - I had major, major EWCM. I pounced on J. The end.
Don't worry about doing it every day. That will tire you out and make it so you don't enjoy it as much (it will feel like a job instead of fun/love making).
And, just so everyone remembers, even if the stars align perfectly and everything is as it should be, there is only a 25% chance of a pregnancy, even in the healthiest of couples.
I've been having some spotting issues and it appears to be linked to sex, so it's been EOD this cycle. Previous cycles it was ED during the FW. I would encourage you to temp at least one cycle to make sure you are ovulating, but that's entirely up to you!
our frequency depends on my work schedule. if I work several shifts in a row, I don't see H except for 30 minutes a day (between 6 pm and 6:30 pm). night shift sucks for TTC. we aim for EOD, and maybe 2 on, 1 off during my FW.
