Thanks again for all your help and answering my knobs/pulls questions. They have completed installing the knobs in one bathroom. Here's a couple of pics.
Regarding knob location on a door, cab maker said their standard location is centered horizontally on the frame and 3" from the bottom (for an upper; from top for a base) of the cabinet door. I've seen this on gardenweb but ignored it because it did not look right to me based on the pics posted. LOL. Surprisingly though, using FoxInFiji suggestion which others have agreed gave us 3"!!! Ha! I did chose wider frames on all our cabs. The cabs on gardenweb where it shows this 3" rule have the typical size frames.
Well that is a happy coincidence! I like all the drawers (or fake drawers) on that vanity and the placement of those knobs. So you went with the square knobs after all. They look really good. I never came back to page you but when we were installing our square knobs on the dresser we realized they had a small "pin" on the back that presses into the wood keeping them from spinning. It made me think of you. The pendant/ring knob had the same thing and also had a little knob on the side that kept the ring from swinging back and hitting the door when you release it from a high position. Those Amerock hardware people are geniuses! LOL
