My first cycle charting, I had a positive OPK (the line was as red as the control) and it matched with charting, BUT the CBE was never positive and I had little to no noticeable CM.
This second month, I had a semi-positive OPK (the line was darker than usual but not QUITE as dark as the control) and it matched with what the chart said was my O date (I did not input a positive OPK in the chart in either situation). Again, no positive CBE, no noticeable CM.
I think it would depend more on whether or not you had a temp shift. Isn't CBE the same thing as an opk? Either way, I'mnot really a fan of those because you can miss the surge entirely based on when you take it and other factors.

I ditto pp. WHat did your temps do? Do you normally have a lot of CM? How are you checking it? Some women have to coax thier bodies into producing alot so that may be a factor. If your temps shift and stay high, then you did O. Can you post your chart? We love analyzing those!
Yeah, unfortunately only temping is going to tell you if you're actually ovulating. It's possible to get positive OPKs because your hormone levels are shifting, but then not release an egg.
If you're not temping, go ahead and start on your next cycle. This will give you a better idea of what is actually going on. Sorry, I know it's really frustrating.
I hope this is ok to ask in this thread, but is it common to not ovulate on some months?
Yeah, that can happen and not be indicative of a larger issue. As a general rule, you should ovulate. But a cycle here or there with O does not necessarily indicate a problem.
Goodness your temps are all over the place! You believe they're accurate? You temp at the same time?
In your situation, where it's not really clear and even your temps aren't great, I'd do everything in TCOYF: temping, CM, cervical position, and OPKs. More information would really help decipher what's going on in your body.
Also, if you haven't been off BCP very long, I'd wait and give that more time.
I temp within an hour every day, but for the past two weeks, I've been waking up multiple times a night, so I'm not sure if I'm ever getting a three-hour span of sleep! I have been off BCP for years.
I will talk to my doctor next month. He is super proactive and said he wants to know early if there are any issues.

The thing with charting is seeing the trends over a period of time. And I think you need a bit more data to see that. I wouldn't worry, but I would try to get your temp taking times to within 15 minutes or so of eachother. Also consider that alcohol, electric blankets, and all sorts of other factors can influence your temps which is why you just look for a trend.
I would give it another cycle to see if you have a good trend going before I would get worried. In the meantime, you mentioned you had little to no noticable CM. Have you tried drinking more water, green tea, or mucinex to help with that? Those can increase CM and give you a another data point for your charting. Good luck!
