Dahlia flowers.
Serving Mexican food because Dahlias are the national flower of Mexico, specifically "enchidahlias". There will be a few , possibly 4, different types. Beans/rice, a salsa bar, and something else I am forgetting. We will get a marble cake from the local allergen bakery.

Owl theme. Look whoooos turning one! I ordered the most precious outfit on etsy with an owl, number 1, and her name embroidered on a onesie with a huge colorful tutu.....and maybe some bloomers. . It's going to be so fun!
Mexican/fiesta, because it will be May 4th. I'm doing a taco bar and a chips/salsa bar. I'm not sure what is for dessert but I want to make 2 Mexican desserts, one being a cake.
ETA: There will also be margaritas and mexican beer. Please don't flame me LO will be like the only child there.

May 4th? Should be Star Wars. Just fartin'.
Haha I know! I try to avoid the Star Wars connection even though I like the movies.

We are doing a "blush and bashful" party theme so lots of PINK. There are 103 people invited (I'd say 80% of that is family) so we are going to get trays of food. We are going to have the party catered so I dont have to worry about the food.
We get the tables and chairs from the local fire department. I'll have mini water bottles and juice boxes for the kids. Soda, water, tea, coffee and alcoholic beverages for the adults.
Not sure what im going to do about party favors yet.
We rented a bouncy house for the kids. Praying for good weather!
For food, we are having our cousin who is an Executive Chef at a local Chophouse, do a pig roast for us. He's stuffing the pig with apples, pinapple and sausage. We'll be pairing that with alcoholic jungle juice for the adults and "jungle juice" (Green Gatorade) for the kids who are old enough to drink that. I've got a few ideas for other animal-theme food like "tiger tails" (Cheetos), a porcupine made out of watermelon with toothpicks sticking into the cubed pieces, and a cucumber snake.
That is the same theme we are doing as well. We are having the party at a park and grilling kabobs, burgers, dogs and brats. For sides pasta salad, tater salad and I will be making jalapeno popper dip and a mexican layer dip for apps. I am totally stealing beeners porcupine watermelon idea, too cute!

Our theme is Emergency Vehicles
We are keeping it really simple and with pretty much all cold foods. Wraps, Cold Salads, Fruit Salads, Various Dips Either cupcakes or a cake. I need to figure this all out soon
