Talk to me about tv. What shows do you watch? When do you watch them (live, next day, next week, after the season is over)? What do you watch them on (cable, satillite, other device)? How much do you pay?
We watch downtown abbey, amazing race, parenthood. We watch everything after is has aired. Some things we watch on like NBC or abc website for free. Other stuff we watch on Netflix, for like $9 a month.
I use the term watch very loosely because we DVR everything and watch it at some point. We still have stuff from October that we are "watching". Our bill is for cable, internet and phone combined so I don't think you can really compare it.
I watch:
Scandal, Revenge, The Walking Dead, True Blood, Grey's, Smash, Vampire Diaries, New Girl, Nashville, Revolution, Up All Night
We watch:
Criminal Minds, Person of Interest, Bones, Game of Thrones, Body of Proof, The Following, AI/XF for some background noise while we're doing other stuff
I'm sure I'm forgetting something on the recording list...maybe I should delete that recording, HA.
I watch a lot of HGTV's house shows, the whole gammit actually. I'm also a sucker for all the Teen Mom shows on MTV. I love A & E's Hoarders & Intervention. Also love the Big Bang Theory. And believe it or not I do watch the nightly news every single day. I watch majority of the shows live. A few recorded. We have Direct TV and pay $51.95/mo.
We watch The Walking Dead, Downton Abbey, Modern Family and a lot if the HBO shows (Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, True Blood, etc). That's about it right now. DH watches a lot of random stock and cooking shows, too.
We usually watch live - the shows we watch tend to be on Sunday nights and we are generally home and able to watch them. Plus I usually can't wait, especially for shows like Walking Dead.
Depending on the weather we get between 1 and 6 channels so we watch what are on those. It is in HD though. We get the basics like abc, cbs, nbc, fox and some crap ones. It is free.
I do rent seasons from the library from time to time.
I DVR and rarely watch live tv. I watch lots of reality tv...Real housewives of everywhere, Amazing Race, Big Brother, Teen Mom2, Washington Heights, Jeopardy, Young and the Restless, Property Brothers, Love it or List it, Kardashians, Guiliana and Bill....some aren't on right now but this is all I can think of. I also, usually watch The news and 60 Minutes, Today show but those are pretty much the only live shows.
I watch shows after Lillian goes to bed for the most part. I need to give my full attention to these shows!
I watch wayyy too much TV. Never live - all on DVR, On Demand or my computer.
-Currently: Friday Night Lights on Amazon Instant Video -Grey's -Parenthood -Private Practice -Shameless -Girls -Nurse Jackie -Big C -Law & Order -CSI occasionally -Teen Mom -Dateline, 20/20, Nightline -Boardwalk Empire -Homeland -Just finished entire series of Lost on Amazon Prime. I was very proud of that.
Game of Thrones and Pretty Little Liars are my two right now. I usually catch PLL the next week on Demand. I'm in season 2 of GOT halfway through. Pay by episode.
I watched all 5 seasons of Fringe recently which was an awesome show.
Me and H watch Pawn Stars (random episodes).
I watch Housewives of Beverly Hills on Demand. We have cable (verizon fios). Have no idea what we pay.
I'm excited that the Client List is back, I watched that when I was pregnant! Also cannot wait till Mad Men!!! How could I forget the long awaited return of Don Draper!!
Girl, we could watch a lot of TV together.
My top two shows are Pretty Little Liars and Dance Moms. I know when they are on and I make a point to watch them. I watch everything else on an ad hoc basis, except GoT which I also make a point of watching. We pay $235/month for the cable, Internet and phone package my provider offers and also includes the movie channels / HBO. I can't tell you how much of that goes towards cable.
Eta I forgot that I also like to watch Girls, but I watch that on demand.
