So I have an appointment with my GP on April 1st which will be CD 26 and, based on every single other month, about 8 or 9 DPO. I don't have a regular gyn because I've always just gone to her for everything, so I was planning on bringing up our TTC concerns and seeing what she recommends or who she would refer me to. I wasn't necessarily going to bring all my charts but at least some information about my cycles and my concerns about my LP. I figured if there were any blood tests they could do right there are the office, we could get that rolling.
My question relates to what I mentioned in the state of the ute post, I REALLY do not feel like temping or using OPKs this month. I'm not in a great head-space right now with TTC frustrations and career stuff, and both of those things are making me really sad right now. I'll come back around, but for this month I just don't want to do it. So do you think it will matter (for purposes of the doctor visit) that I don't know for sure when I ovulate this month? Am I lessening the effectiveness of the appointment if I can't say with some certainty where I am in the cycle?
I feel like this is a dumb question and normal people wouldn't know exactly when they ovulate anyway, but I've been gearing up for this appointment as my first step to figure all of this out and I don't want to blow my chance to get the most out of it, but I also don't want to be miserable all month if it doesn't really matter anyway. So would you suck it up and chart or let it go?

If you aren't feeling up for it, I'd skip. You have a few other charts you can show her, right? - I'd think that would give her enough of an idea about how your cycle is, especially if you are pretty regular. I'm going in June for my year check-in, so I debated about charting until then to have lots of data, but I really need a break. I have plenty of charts to show her if I end up needing to go.
Be cautious with bloodwork to check for hormone levels - some tests need to be done on certain cycle days (e.g. CD3 and 7DPO) to be accurate. Good luck!!

Thanks thoseareradishes . I saw that you were skipping charting this month too, I am so with you on this right now. Every morning I look at my thermometer and think, EFF. THAT.
I figured as far as bloodwork I really want them to check my thyroid in case there's anything weird going on there, and I was wondering if they would be willing to at least look at my progesterone since I'll be toward the end of the cycle and that's what I'm worried about. I may not be able to get a lot of stuff checked until August when the year is up, but damn if I can just lengthen that LP I will feel like at least there's a reason to hope.
ETA: I have a solid five charts, all with the same LP and O date except for December which was this weirdly long cycle. Based on what I have since October I still think we were having sex during the right window during August and September, but I wasn't temping or using OPKs yet. (Although seriously, it was the first two freaking months so it was like all sex all the time.)
