I'm in a rut and I need to snap the h*ll out of it. Like Now.
House stuff? Time Savint Tips? Cleaning ideas? Books you Love? New Recipes? Cute outfits you've pinned/bought? Fun dates you've had with H? Fun exercise routines? Anything at all. Spill it. I'm open.
Here are mine:
*Yesterday at Target, I bought two of those $8.99 silver lamps they have tons of for Rubes room. Her room looks more polished and 100xs better than the crap nightlight I had before.
*On my lunch break today I stocked up on tarts and a couple new candles at the drugstore. I got home and dumped all the ones I've been melting forever and whose scent it long gone.
*I'm running a 5k in two weeks and had a great run of healthy and exercise since the first of the year. Then a week ago when my grandma died I fell of that train. I cut myself some slack, but tomorrow I'm getting back on it.

Since we've moved into the new house, I've made a point of taking the dog for a walk every day. It's such a nice change and a great way to meet the neighbors - Dot is pretty much the great equalizer.
I've been cooking daily, but I'll admit its a royal PITA ... but it's good to have fresh, healthy food again.
I've been volunteering to help with local races - packet pickup or as a water station person ... or really, whatever they need. It's nice to get out of the house on weekends.
R and I are going to be exploring our local trails this weekend.
Other than that, I got nothing. I'm in a rut too. And it's depressing. I had a 5k scheduled for this weekend but I'm not doing it. I haven't run a STEP since the middle of Feb.

Oh Dairy, I am so sorry to hear about your grandma. :::hugs:::
I have worked 6 days a wk sine the first if the year and I might be off this weekend! If I am I want to have a a Dr. Seuss breakfast with DD. green eggs (avacado deviled eggs) and ham with a strawberry & and banana skewer cat in the hat. I just want to do something special, just us. It's the little things sometimes.
Also think I'm doing an Irish breakfast on Sunday with my whole family, since my little brother is in town for spring break.
I think I'm just craving being domestic for a day....

Oh, and decorating related - I got rid of my rust curtains and got blue ones, and some navy/ lt blue/ yellow/ orange striped pillows. It looks so summery and almost nautical and I love it!

I totally agree. Dogwalking is a great way to meet neighbors. I spend just a crushing amount of time volunteering too, and I not only meet my neighbors that way, I also meet many new clients.
Our town always has a packed social calendar with events pretty much every night of the week. I've been picking a couple of nights a week now and going out to do stuff and meet new people. Lately it's been a free community yoga class and open mic night at a coffeehouse. When it was on, I went to a Downton Abbey watching party at the local senior center.
I've also made a habit of stopping into the used bookstore and picking something fun to read every few weeks. I try to get a different genre every time. Right now I have two spy novels. Next time I may pick up a biography or a romance novel. This of course puts me terribly behind on the regular reading list I have, but I enjoy the variety.
I also have to agree that dog walking is a great way to learn your neighborhood and meet neighbors. I think everyone in town knows our dogs at this point.

I went to Jazzercise last Sunday. It was actually fun (even though I realized why I quit dance in 5th grade), so I'm signing up.
I have also made a point to do SOMETHING every evening off my task list instead of vegging out on the couch and letting myself get overwhelmed on the weekends.
I am working out 4 days a week and trying to accomplish small things around the house each week. Today I'm going to clean the windows and try some other spring cleaning.
I bought some fresh flowers...I paid $5 for a bouquet, which was on sale and 2 weeks later it's just now starting to show signs that it's dying. Love it.
Also, just trying to get outside more now that we are having a few warm days here and there helps.

Sorry about your Grandma Dairy.
I started running again with my friend. We go 3 mornings/week. It's great exercise and we talk the entire time too.
I've been trying to be more lighthearted. Playing with the girls, dancing & singing around the house, joking with DH, etc. The renovations, work deadlines and being broke can really get me down.

We've started doing "date nights" on Tuesdays. Our weekends are super busy and it's easy to get lazy about spending time with each other. We went to the movies last week and Olive Garden and Babies R Us this week. Nothing exciting, just enough to get us out of our house.
