What stuff do you take when you run/bike/etc outdoors?
what's in your pockets or belt?
i ask because I went out today with no pockets and ended up locking my phone and id in the car and running with just a key tucked down my undearwear (I'm klassy like that ) I felt kind of exposed without my id etc and I'm curious about what others consider essential when exercising outside.
Road ID stays on my shoe, or wrist if I'm wearing a different pair.
In pockets, I always have chapstick, tissues, and key (house if from home, car if elsewhere). If you don't have a pocket, try a wrist wallet like Banjees.
If I wear a fuel belt or Flip Belt, it means I'm going longer (longer than 8-10mi) and have a sample of anti-chafe, Gu, cash, Sbux card, and phone.
Running: ipod, house key IF Calvin's not home. Often that's it. If I remember, a RoadID, but I'm bad about it on short runs. On long runs when I leave my neighborhood I am better about it. On long runs, sometimes water/nutrition.
Bike: house key again if Calvin's not home. Road ID. I usually try to keep a buck or a couple in my saddle bag for whatever.
I wish I had a good way to take my iphone on my bike, in case of accident, it getting dark before I get home (especially when days are short), getting lost or winding up on a rural detour that adds too many miles, a double flat... yada yada. So far I don't have anything good besides a pocket on clothes.

Have you tried a Flip Belt? I often forget it's on.
Ipod and a key. I have a road ID but I usually forget it. For longer runs, I'll add in a water bottle and Gu. If I have the stroller I take everything!
Pre Junior? If I was running from home, I'd have my iPod and my Road ID only (we have one of those keypad garage openers so no need for a key). If I was running somewhere I drove to, I'd take my key. Water only if it was warm enough or over 6ish miles.
Now? No matter where or how long my run is supposed to be, I have a handheld water bottle (I get nauseous if I go more than a mile and a half or so without water) with shot bloks zipped into the pocket on the handle just in case, Road ID, and cell phone in a SpiBelt around my expanding waist to make my nervous Nellie husband feel better. And no iPod because I'm officially suuuuuper paranoid about tripping on something because I wasn't paying attention.

I always have my phone on me, and if its a longer run water and maybe done fuel. On my bike, ID, phone, water and maybe a snack. I usually use my bike for commuting to work and have a rack and panniers on it and they wind up with all sorts of crap in there.

I don't take much. For short runs, just my iPod and a key. I try to wear clothes with pockets, but if I don't have a pocket, I tie the key to my shoelace or stuff it in my bra. For longer runs, I wear a SPI belt and take some Shot Bloks and maybe my phone.

How tight is the flip belt? I hate tight things around my waist outside of my pants so I worry about for tight fitting it is tia
They sell different sizes. I wear mine overlapping/just above my waistband, so it's not really any "extra" around my middle. Like I said, I forget about it.
I'm one of those unsafe runners who don't take any id or my phone. For my longest runs, I take my ipod, tuck gu or shot blocks into my pockets annnnnd....that's it.
When I drive to run somewhere I either tie my key on my shoe or put it in the magnetic under the car key holder thingy.

For myself I just bring my phone and car key (phone in my armband). I also run with my dog so I being some poop bags and a thing of string cheese so we can work on training during breaks and practice sit/stays while I stretch at the end. I just tie the bags on the leash and they have clean up stations along my route so I can snag an extra one before I get started if I run out of bags.
I always take my phone in my armpocket and wear a sweatband on my wrist. For anything more than 5-6 miles, I'll wear my fuel belt with 2-3 bottles of water and a pack of gu. I also have a piece of gum or a mint in my mouth to keep it from getting too dried out.
I have a road ID, but almost always forget to grab it.

Does the gum trick work? Sometimes my mouth gets soooo dry.
I usually just have my iPhone in my armband and stick my key in a pocket or my bra. 5+ miles and I carry a bottled water.

Road ID on my wrist. I always leave from home so just leave the side door unlocked if DH is home, or hide a key for myself somewhere to let myself back in.
I am going to drive somewhere and start my run from somewhere else tomorrow, so I'll just stick my car key in the zipper pocket of my shorts.
Keep in mind I'm only running for just over an hour at the moment, but all I take is one gu, my id and keys. This usually fits in those zip pockets in the back of leggings/shorts, except for the id which i tuck in my waist or in my bra. Besides the distances aspect being low I seem to be low maintenance, I can't believe how much junk people bring to pump classes, considering 90% would have driven and they can leave most of the stuff in the car.
Running: Road ID, key, iPhone, water/fuel if needed Cycling: Road ID, water/fuel on the bike, in saddle bag: flat repair kit, multitool, ID & debit card, iPhone

I almost always chew gum when I run, I constantly get cotton mouth and it helps.
Assuming I'm on my road bike: In saddle bag (aka seat pack): two tubes, 3 CO2 cartridges, patch kit, $5.50 (for snacks, drinks on longer rides when we do a store stop), multi tool In jersey pockets: iPhone, food (varies on ride length), "stuff" (arm warmers, jacket, whatever I need) On me: Road ID

I couldn't run without gum or a mint. It definitely keeps the cotton mouth at bay.

I wear my RoadID and my ipod for shorter runs. If I'm on longer runs, farther from home (Running at work or in a park, etc.) , or the weather is bad, I'll carry my phone in my spibelt.
For running... Road ID on my wrist and I carry a water bottle for longer runs. If I need Gu, I stash it in my pocket (all of my clothing has some sort of pocket). I don't carry my keys because I have a code to get into my garage and if I drive to go run (which is rare), I have a code to get into my car.
For cycling... Road ID on my wrist, water bottles on the bike and/or in my pocket. All other food is in my jersey pockets (that's what those are for!) or on my bento box for longer rides (more than 3 hours). I carry my phone in my jersey pocket for emergencies, but I first enclose it in a plastic baggie so it doesn't get wet from my sweat or the rain. All my tools are in a bag hanging on the back of my saddle (CO2 cartridges, spare tubes, and a tire lever).
