I just registered for the Disney Wine & Dine. This will be my THIRD Disney race in 2013. And I didn't really talk to DH about it. I feel bad. But not really.
I'm totally going to put together a full trip for DH and I to celebrate our anniversary. Because, you know, 7 years is totally worth a thousand dollar trip to Disney World. :/
edit: and apparently, I'm a subject line stealer. Sorry, zoid!

LOL (heart)
It will be a great way to celebrate your anniversary!
Lol!! Is this a Disney obsession, or are the races that good? I've always avoided them because I assumed they were a cluster fuck. Plus, since I grew up 30 min from there, I think it has lost some of it's magic...but maybe I'm not giving them a fair shot. I have considered wine & dine. That's sounds like a good time.

I LOVED the WDW half. I had NO problems and it seriously was one of my best races ever. I do love Disney, though.
I think they're overpriced, but I'm used to that for Disney, ya know? But they're organized, they have a ton of good stuff - porta potties, food/water stations, post-race goodies, the medals and shirts are SWEET. And this one is at night, through 3 parks (WDW was just 2 - and barely Epcot, this one has a couple miles in HS and all around AK), and has food and wine until 4am after the race? Sign me up!
I've been looking more into the F&W festival itself. That weekend is the last one, but that event looks awesome for adults.
You should totally do it. Then we can meet and party it up!
Hmmm....that does sound like fun. The fact that it's a night appeals to me, logistics wise. I'll look at it! It's a month after we get back from Chicago, but Disney would be a very short, cheap, trip.
Holy, freakin, registration fee!! That's what we paid for Chicago, & THAT is even overpriced for a full. Nothing says happiest place on earth like a little price gouging, Disney. Lol It does look like fun though.

Im not a disney person at all, but this one is on my eventual to do list....only because my dad lives near orlando, and assuming the weekend hasnt chnaged, this is e weekend we usually go visit him. So at some point, when i feel like spending that much $$$ on a half, ill run it. Hanging out at a 55+ community is only fun for so long...... Lol
Sounds fun! I would love to do a Disney race sometime. Other than the one DH and I signed up for and DNS because someone (ME!) decided to start puking at 2am race day morning. Even Disney World magic couldn't cure that misery.
I am not a Disney person at all but I did the Disney Princess half with a few girlfriends two years ago and it was such a blast! Disney races are so much fun and so well organized. You will have so much fun!

Um, I'm doing 2 this year, and would've signed up for W&D if I could've talked DH into a third trip down there this year. They are expensive and not always the best organized, but the medals are just so cool!
