I bought a Nutribullet several weeks ago and have been using it daily. With this my greens (spinach/kale) and fruit intake are way up. I have a banana, an orange, some pineapple chunks and a pear daily.
I'm working out more but am losing 0 pounds & I've noticed increased pudge around my middle.
Are some people just more sensitive to fructose than others? How much fruit do you eat--any weight impact noticed?
There are definitely some people who are more sensitive to fructose than others. I love my fruit though and I have a hard time giving it up altogether, so as long as I am still within my caloric deficit I allow myself to have it. I usually have about 2 servings a day of berries. More if cherries are in season. I am trying to cut out my half banana from my smoothie because I don't think I 'need' it, even though I love the texture it adds to my smoothie.
I usually eat a couple pieces of fruit a day and sometimes I even make a smoothie and throw in a little protein powder. What else are you eating? Everyone is a little different, but protein is what really helps me lose the pudge.
If you are working out more is it possible that you are eating more of everything in general and not only fruit? I'm not expert so maybe it is possible that fruit is making you gain, it just seems unlikely to me. I know when I run/workout more then normal I get so hungry that I eat more and it cancels out the extra work outs.
ah, the good old, "does fruit make you fat" debate :-#
a banana, pear, and orange+pineapple are each roughly 100 calories. I dunno, I guess 300 extra calories daily can put on a pound or two over several weeks. But it's not the fruit, its the added 300 calories. If you are drinking this instead of eating something (or using it to supplement a smaller breakfast, etc) then I dont think the fruit has anything to do with anything.
Can it be the extra fiber? Maybe your body is adjusting and you are bloated?
