Happy St. Patty's Day. What's the weather like? What's on your agenda?
Me: About 39-40 degrees, and rainy. Presently propped up on pillows watching TV and drinking coffee. After I finish business paperwork I will clean the house and go thrift shopping. Then, dinner with my inlaws.
It's 32* and overcast. I thought it was supposed to be sunny but it's not We really need spring!!!
We just got back from a light breakfast at Panera and doing a quick food shop for the week. My parents are coming up at 1:00 and we are heading to a local restaurant for lunch - my 100% Italian step-dad wants Corned Beef and Cabbage and my mom, DH and I who are all mostly Irish just want burgers since none of us like Corned Beef. I actually just want beer! Slainte!!!
63° and partly sunny. I have lots of unfun stuff to do - a couple hours of work that I'm just dreading bc it's going to be some serious mental gymnastics, laundry, and figure out a snag with our tax return. And I have to meet a friend at my storage unit to give them a bunch of stuff I've been holding onto for them for a while - yay for clearing out other people's clutter! lol
It's my half birthday! Should probably start really working on all those goals I set for this year ;-)
Weather: 40s and sunny today. Last night we had a crazy thunderstorm and hail. Who knew it was August?
I'm planning church, grocery shopping, cleaning, and getting a bunch of projects in order for the week. One of my friends is opening a consignment store for homemade and/or reloved sort of stuff. Like etsy in real life. I've been dragging my feet since we didn't have a start date, but she's opening may 1st. Gotta get my butt in gear!
We didn't get much work done yesterday, so we have been working today, sorting/purging/packing/arguing (lol). DH did some yard work and filled the yard waste bin with boards that we had to burn in the chiminea, but will never have time to use. We moved the treadmill and have the piano in a space that the piano movers can get to easily now. They should be coming this week to take it to my daughter's house. Busy day, but we've made some good progress so far and still have several hours that we can keep working today.
We also made some decisions regarding flooring for the new house, (so that it can be ordered tomorrow-yea!), and we talked to the contractor about the work on my studio.
I am making colcannon later, but I have no idea what else we are having with it. I am not sure what DH picked up at the store yesterday....it could be either an interesting, or a very pathetic meal tonight. ;p
We had a birthday party for my niece and nephew. Then we priced out Bali faux wood blinds at Home Depot -- over $1500 cheaper than Hunter Douglas through Costco!
