I posted last week about how my Garmin 110 was doing some weird/annoying things, like not charging properly, not finding satellites (and telling me it found satellites even though it clearly didn't), turning on/off randomly, etc. Several other people said they had experienced the same issues.
There was a Garmin booth at the race expo last week, so I stopped by and asked the people there about my problems. They suggested a few things that I tried, and so far so good. It's only been a few days, but my Garmin is already functioning MUCH better.
1. Make sure you have all the latest software updates downloaded to your watch. You have to go through Garmin Connect to do this.
2. If your watch is full of data, you will need to clear it before you can do #1.
3. Even if you have the latest software updates, try clearing the existing user data from your watch. The easiest way to do this is by uploading your data to the computer, and then doing a system restore/reset on your watch. This will free up extra space for memory.
My watch seems to be back to its happy self now. I'm going to knock on wood, just in case!
