forgotten places - found these interesting

Funny, I clicked on that link when I checked the weather this morning too. My H is fascinated by abandoned buildings and decay.

I have posted this before, but a site I found interesting is:

I always find places like grocery stores, malls, new homes, restaurants, etc that have been abandoned interesting. There is one home in that database (I forget what state) where the man died and his wife wanted to continue to collect his SS check, so she used lye and put him under the floor. When she died or was committed (I forget which) the home sat and is like a time capsule from the 80's. The toothpaste, cereal boxes, magazines...everything is from the 80's. It's very interesting and weird.
