I found it funny how every time something was more difficult than he expected, he’d do a complete 180 on all our plans. “Cloth Diapers? Awesome idea! Oh, it’s not as easy as I thought? Let’s ditch them!†However when it was something I had to do for the sake of Alexis’ health, he was vigilant about it. Men!
She's decided to parent in a vacuum. Read the selected things she wants to, then not actually talk to real parents. And her posts have the attitude that imply she's an expert. She'd get more sympathy if it was more "hey, I'm concerned about X, Y, and Z. Does anyone have feedback?"
But then she wouldn't get tons of traffic to her board.
She'll be back into CDs in 4 months and will talk about how wonderful they are again.
And way to pass the buck. My DH wasn't into CDs at first either. I just put them on her and he had to deal. Now he loves them.
I also quit CDing DD as a newborn and started again when she was 4 months. So I get where she is coming from and I won't be surprised if she starts again.
That's hilarious! How did we all survive as kids? My fluffy bum was even fluffier than DD's and I'm walking around just fine now! Oh and I love the feel of DD's fluff, it feels so strange to pick up a baby thats in a sposy. She's nuts and I'm a bit ticked at her! Now this is fluffy!
It sounds like she got all one size which would explain her fit issues. A curious move for someone "not doing it for the money."
It's classic double-speak. She says she's not doing it for the money, but then she says she doesn't want to waste all that $ she spent on clothes that don't fit.

Ha ha. This picture rules. I keep wanting to send her videos of DS crawling at 5 months with his big fluffy butt!
I think her real reason is that she is mad all the clothes she bought don't fit anymore or it is too much work. And seriously that is fine, just own up to it. I understand cloth diapers aren't for everyone.
It's because the diapers had too much gravity...like a small planet. She isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
And I predict her daughter goes all goth in high school and pierces her face. And uses mainstream black lipstick without a single organic product in it.

She obviously didn't do her research!
She clearly didn't. Lots of people pointed out to her that OS wouldn't fit a NB when she packed them in one of her gazillion hospital bags. But she knew better, 'cause the tag said it would work. Part of me wants to invite her on our CD boards, but I can't handle the reality of that.

I can't believe she lives in such a baby-worshipping vacuum that she just doesn't see that the diapers have NOTHING to do with movement and that her daughter was just on the verge of doign whatever silly movement she did, and that putting her in disposables had nothing to do with it. But then she's always been incredibly self-righteous and narrow-minded. But I still feel the need to read more and wind myself up...

Lurker butting in...
It seems as if she was way more interested in the "cute" factor of cloth diapers and then came up with a reason to quit when they interfered with the cute clothes. Andplusalso, if they allowed their newborn to get so wet the "pee strip" was activated, I suspect they really didn't change her often enough. Maybe our baby was just a light peer, but the nurses at the hospital warned us against relying on the pee strips too young.
I cannot stand her. She's so superficial. Boo hiss.
Yup. She totally gave up on them because it interfered with the "oh so cute and expensive organic" clothes she bought her DD. Ugh. Come on, babies grow so fast as newborns, she wasn't going to get a lot of wear out of them anyway, sposies or CDs. Just say they don't work for you and be done with it, don't come out with stupid cop out reasons for it.
I find that hilarious. Both of my DDs wore cloth diapers [DD1 from 3 months up, DD2 from birth]. DD1 walked at 9.5mths, DD2 walked around 8mths. So how about those darn cloth diapers prohibiting physical development? right...
