DH and I are both teachers and we are both very tired when we come home. Monday is my rest day, so I'm cooking my food for the week. I was going to do it yesterday but had some school things to do. What is he doing right now and has been since I got home at 5:30? Sleeping. I really shouldn't complain because he does so much around the house. But dude, I never take a nap during the week. He isn't even training for anything, home boy should be on the bike trainer downstairs not taking a nap!!
My DH is not allowed to take a nap because he needs to help me with kids. But the beauty of not having kids is that you can take a nap! Whenever you want! EMBRACE IT!

Oh he is allowed. He just naps quite a bit. I feel like I'm go, go, go and don't ever nap and when I do I feel guilty. I feel like he should be doing something right now too, and he's sawing logs!

I often find myself feeling this way as well. If I can't sit down, you can't sit down. Which is fine and dandy when it applies to taking care of the kids and household responsibilities. But sometimes I go overboard and find stuff to do when I really shoudl take a hint from DH and park it on the sofa and rest.
I'd just go take a nap. Dinner will get done when it gets done.
Also, this is why DH and I share cooking. While I do most of the prep work and planning for the week, he is called upon to grill whatever and whenever I ask.
