I'm bored, just waiting for dinner to quit cooking and DH is out working on his bike so I'll bite...
Exciting summer plans? I hopefully have them but they're going to be a secret for a few more weeks until they are a solid for sure thing.
Anything special coming up? I FINALLY get to start volunteering at the hospital tomorrow. I'm REALLY excited!! I have my back pack all packed because I'll just ride in with DH tomorrow on his bike since he starts around the same time I will.
If you're in school, how's it going? What's your major? I quit working on my Master's. I'm just at the point where I can't decide if it's more of a waste to finish and not use it or not finish it.
The next two do not apply to me
Other than that I'm doing pretty well. I've been PT-ing my butt off because I have nothing else to do since I've been unemployed...and our house is spotless so that makes DH happy. I'm really bursting at the seams to share my secret but I feel like I might jinx myself so I'll be patient.
Exciting summer plans? Hopefully, I'll be getting a weekend getaway with my husband. Other than that, we are planning several camping trips on weekends I don't have weddings scheduled.
Anything special coming up? a window should be opening sometime soon.
If you work, how's that? Lots of weddings.
Moms, how are you? How is LO? Kids are great. My oldest has his first golf tourney in a few days

Exciting summer plans? Not much. Hoping to get a little trip somewhere in before E goes back to school and before I start hopefully.
Anything special coming up? Nope, just had my birthday Sunday, DH spoiled me. It was lovely!
If you're in school, how's it going? What is your major? I'm in the application process for a program right now. I just got my Certificate of Clearance today so that's a good step, otherwise I need to take the Constitution test and finish my app and send it end.
If you work, how's that? Long, exhausting and stressful. I just want to get into my program so I can leave and teach kids science!
Exciting summer plans? I have some travel plans before it's actually summer, which is exciting. I'm actually heading to the west coast, never been there before! But then it's deployment time, so I need to work on finding some more things to do to keep busy.
Anything special coming up? H has a deployment coming up, I think that counts as "special".
If you're in school, how's it going? What is your major? Not in school.
If you work, how's that? No job right now, but I am the spouse club President which is way more work than I anticipated.
Moms, how are you? How is LO? My dog is his usual self, except dealing with allergy related skin issues again.

No terribly exciting summer plans for us yet. I'm taking a class in June, going to some work training in August, and flying home with the boys to visit family in July. H is likely PCS-ing (to the base 5 minutes from the MTF where he currently works) so he'll be OOT for some training too at some point.
Special events coming up include my birthday this weekend (32-woooo!) and our 10th anniversary in June.
My MA program in English Lit is going really well. I've got sign-off for both of the seminar papers I'm writing this semester, the green light from my thesis advisor to start working with her next fall, and I was just accepted to present at a conference next month.
Work is also going great. We've had to hire two new teachers mid-year, but I think both of them are good additions to our team. My students have struggled a bit more this year with a few concepts that previous classes had mastered before they came to me, which has been challenging, but they're good kids on the whole and have been a pleasure to teach.
Both boys are doing well. L is 5 and ready to start kindergarten next year. He's also showing a lot more interest in learning how to read than he has in the past, so with luck he'll have at least some of the basics down by the time he starts school. D is 2 and while he's a more rough-and-tumble boy than L, he's also such a lovey sweetheart.
No vents whatsoever--I feel very blessed at the moment!
Exciting summer plans? Planning a road trip to Florida this summer, my grandmother turns 80, and I haven't seen quite a few relatives since my sister's wedding almost 5 years ago. Plus, this means many of my family will be able to finally meet EJ.
Anything special coming up? EJ is turning 1 next week! Having his birthday party/Easter egg hunt this Saturday and I'm in complete denial even as I go through the motions of prepping for this event.
If you're in school, how's it going? What is your major? N/A
If you work, how's that? Busy! I'm really starting to be able to shine as I was given some new opportunities and have surprised my boss. Hoping that the response to the new mailing is impressive to continue to solidify my abilities and value. I've also picked up a freelance gig, which is awesome since we have some bills we really want to get paid down so that we can seriously consider house hunting next year.
Moms, how are you? How is LO? Tired but loving life. EJ is still very much a baby and hasn't really been sleeping through the night yet, but has also hit some major milestones recently (walking!!!) so it is explainable. L is amazing as always and we've been making some strides getting her ADHD re-diagnosed as ADD with OCD thrown in for good measure and getting the appropriate treatment for that. I've been really involved with her GS troop, stepping up as the Asst. Leader, and Cookie Season cannot wrap up soon enough.

Exciting summer plans? I'm hoping my BFF will be coming to visit, but other than that we don't have anything too exciting yet. There was talk about renting a lake house again this summer, but the place we like is already almost completely booked and the ones that are left are $$$$$$$.
Anything special coming up? I'm almost done with the online classes portion of my certification and that is VERY special. I used to love online classes, but they're hard to get back into once you've been out of school for 5-ish years. We'll be visiting my parents this weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday and share a secret we've been keeping from them.
If you're in school, how's it going? What is your major? The certification for teaching is going well. I love doing my observations and spending time with some of the cute little 1st graders (2nd graders not as much - they're in an... interesting?... classroom).
If you work, how's that? Slow and boring. I travel a decent amount now which is nice because I'm out of the office, but between everything going on I wish I could just stay home and nap.
Moms, how are you? How is LO? LO (which we call Bitty because it's itty bitty) is the size of a raspberry and sort of looks like a thumb based on the ultrasound, but it's the cutest little thumb that I've ever seen. No real morning sickness (only twice out of almost 8 weeks - yay!), but I've determined that Bitty hates meat of any sort and really loves both chocolate and fruit, though not necessarily combined. I'm ready to tell our parents and then not worry about hiding it and reminding people to not post it on fb. Which brings me to this question: why do other people like to announce your news on social media for you? No one has done it to use yet thankfully (knock on wood), but another friend of ours found out she's pregnant and she told a friend in confidence who then posted "OMG I'm so excited that _______ is pregnant at the same time as me!!!!!!!" Really? Don't do that. Let them announce it if/when they choose.

What grades are you looking at? Does your state do it by grades and then by course type for older levels? For example, we have EC-6 generalist, 4-8 generalist, 8-12 math, & 8-12 science as options, but then once we have any of the certifications then we can test for additional ones without taking extra courses.

My mom was our assistance leader too and she would've agreed with you on cookie sales. I loved it because I'm insanely competitive so it was a challenge to make sure I sold the most, but she was always ready for it to be over the moment it started.

Sookie!!!!!!!! EKKKKKKKK!!!!! I have been waiting for days for you to say your pregnant!!! I knew it would happen sometime soon! Yay!
And as far as my schooling I have to have a credential. It's a 2 year program. California has one of the most complicated processes for becoming a teacher. There are multi-subject credentials here and single subject. Multi is for elementary school and single is anything specialized. I'm doing single subject science/biology. I hope to have my app ready to send in on Wednesday!

It has been killing me to not talk about it, but I was determined to see it on the sono first since that's when things went downhill last time. It was horrifically scary waiting to see if Bitty would show up on the screen, but once it did I felt a million times better. I'm ready for it to be less of a secret and more of a "if you know, you know. If not then you don't need to right this second." Can't it be Friday yet?!
You're going to be a great teacher! I'm thinking of getting my additional credentials for science and English once I have my EC-6 done. I'm hoping to either do a little grade (K/1st) or high school specialized, preferably English. Make sure you keep us updated! When would you get started with the courses?

I'm sure it feels so much better to see Bitty growing as you hoped it would! Yay Bitty!
Thank you! I'm sure you'll be a wonderful teacher too! It's harder in CA to do a little grade and transition so I'm just going for it now. I'm hoping to do middle school science but I have to have a position by August so I'll take whatever I can get. If I get in my program I start with a teaching "boot camp" in June and July and then start teaching in August and then taking classes 1 night a week and 1 weekend a month. I'll let you know if I get in. I should know end of April beginning of May.

Exciting summer plans? -DH is deploying in a few weeks and not getting back until fall. I have a lot of beach trips planned and the babies and I will probably go home for a while this summer to break up the deployment. Yeah, yeah, I know, but hey I'm out numbered here.
Anything special coming up? -Nada. The babes turned two on Friday, so that was exciting, but its already passed.
If you're in school, how's it going? What is your major?
If you work, how's that?
Moms, how are you? How is LO? -Just turned two! Insane. Talking like crazy, growing up waaay too fast.

Exciting summer plans? It's just the two of us so I'm planning a lot of little day trips to the zoos, beach, museums, etc. I really want to take a quick trip to Disney because I have no patience to wait but I doubt that happens. Mom wants me to come for a bit, and the break would be nice, but I just really don't want to go back.
Anything special coming up? not really, no. Consignment sale week ended and that's always chaos at our house so now I'm just trying to get things back in order and on schedule.
If you're in school, how's it going? What is your major? Fine. Something to do. In really enjoying the Pilates class I'm taking.
If you work, how's that? I want to work so bad, but I'm trying to wait until Bean starts school this fall.
Moms, how are you? How is LO? Tired. Bean was doing fairly well with this deployment, but daylight savings just screwed her and she's been a nightmare since. It's getting better, but there's been a few days that ended in tears.
Any vents/letters/confessions/whatevers post them here. Nada.
