Alphie LOVES bouncing balls...you know, like the little ones for a quarter at KFC from that machine? Anything with a bell is a big deal in our house. MILK RINGS. My cats are crazy for milk rings.
I'm jealous I wish we had fur-babies. DH is allergic to cats and his ex-w was a crazy dog lady so he's just not ready for one yet. GAH! It's been 7 years they have been separated/divorced.
One of mine loves cartons, screaming monkeys (kids toys that you can fling across the room), and nylabones (yes, one normal dog thing). My beagle loves anything soft enough to lay on... he fancies himself wicked old and doesn't play.

I've bought Talis several cat toys over the years. However, he much prefers simple cheap things such as: wrapping paper, paper bag, straws, tin foil balls ame even a plastic fork. Hmmm...go figure.

The young one loves any type of balls, rope, and anything stuffed. Both will chase after the laser pointer, which is endless entertainment that never gets old.
Each other, mostly. Big dog loves balls (giggity). Little dog loves plush toys. Little cat loves crinkle balls (giggity). Big cat loves laser.. but has to fight little dog and little cat for it.
My cat only plays with three things: a white stretchy string from a package of some sort, drinking straws, and a leopard beenie baby. All other toys are ignored and/or sat upon.
This is the only toy that they haven't destroyed and/or killed each other over. It's made by kong.
Lol, we have this same blue dog, it is missing three legs and it's tail, but it's still hanging on. (We've had it about a year, and it has been in this condition since day one.)
He finds cat toys when we are walking/at my parent's house, and he just walks around with them, without destorying them. Anything with stuffing/filling is a no-go in our house, it is shredded in minutes.
He has a red kong that has lasted forever, and he likes bully sticks and antlers (though he will get bored with these because he doesn't make quick progress).
Our Corgi will destroy any toy we give him, but love rawhide bones Our english setter and the kitties love to play with a lazer pointer. Kitties love anything that moves.

My older cat loves his little stuffed mouse. He totes it around with him a few times a day. All of them seem to love the little balls with feathers on it and the string on a stick.

My male dog chews nylabones like crazy. He also loves balls but destroys them so i search for very durable, hard rubber ones. They usually last about 3 months if I find a decent one. My female likes soft toys and just runs around with them in her mouth, kinda tossing them around. More like a cat than a dog...
