Congrats bazinga!
1. Where are you on your TTC journey? Still waiting for 1st post-D&E period, it's been 6 weeks now and while I know this is still within a normal range of time, waiting really sucks.
2. Any TTC randoms/stories to tell? No, I'm just kind of bitter about not being able to TTC right now. Boo.
3. If you could go on a trip to anywhere in the world, (Money doesn't matter) where would you go? Tahiti & Bora Bora

Congrats Bazinga!
1. Cycle 6 CD 1 Boo!
2. I had an eventful cycle 5 starting with a 12 day period, ultrasound, and my sneaky body adding an extra day into my leutal phase! On to the next cycle I go!
3. Hmm I thought I knew and then I saw some really good ideas on here. I think I would pick Thailand. The pictures look beautiful!

1. Cycle 5, cd 20 , 2dpo 2. This month I tried a fertility monitor and I felt so much more in control. We will see what happens. 3.I would go to Bora Bora and stay in a bungalow over the water.
2. Yesterday at work I showed my co-worker a video DH made of him and my niece playing peekaboo and her response was "you want a baby" I controlled myself and just didn't respond. Later that afternoon, we were celebrating another CW's b-day and I made her cupcakes . Then out of nowhere CW told me I was going to be a good mom & my boss chimed in that I couldn't have kids right now and I'd have to bring the kid to work w/me if I did lol.
1. Where are you on your TTC journey? cycle 4 CD10
2. Any TTC randoms/stories to tell? tomorrow my internist is going to tell me if we can ttc again.. fx! My mom has been annoying lately so I have been avoiding her calls. I am saying I'm sick or tired and I'm pretty sure she thinks I am pg. oops!
3. If you could go on a trip to anywhere in the world, (Money doesn't matter) where would you go? all around Asia with H. I go for work often but he hasn't been.
1. Cycle 3, 8 DPO 2. My best friend and her DH are almost ready to TTC so I'm super excited about us possibly having kids around the same age. Also found out that our top choice for daycare is $800+ per month. I'm fine with that, but DH was shocked by how much childcare costs. 3. Italy because I love gelato. Mmmm.
1. Cycle 3. Unsure if I O'd on day 15 or 19 or not at all. Currently CD 27. 2. Not TTC-related, but we're moving in 10 days and I am so excited! My commute will go from 50 minutes to 10! 3. An over-the-water hut in Bora Bora sounds good to me too. Or a Mediterranean cruise.

1. Cycle 11, CD 2, after a 6-day LP
2. DH's hormone panel came back normal; next step is an ultrasound but we have to wait for insurance pre-approval. This (the whole TTC thing) plus work stress really has me down.
3. The UK! A co-worker just got back from London and had awesome photos. And I'd like to make it up to Scotland to see where my great-grandpa was born.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
1. Where are you on your TTC journey? This is my first month off BCP and recovering from a minor surgery. Hoping to officially start trying in the next couple months.
2. Any TTC randoms/stories to tell? This getting of the pill business is serious. I have never been happy then sad then happy this quick in my life!
3. If you could go on a trip to anywhere in the world, (Money doesn't matter) where would you go? Would love to go to Australia!

1. Cycle 8, CD 14. 2. I'm not temping or anything right now. I thought I would feel neurotic about it during this time in the cycle, but it's honestly still a relief. I'm glad I took a break. And a random thought brought on by the "when to see a doctor" thread: I see/hear so many people say, "As long as your cycles are regular and you have evidence that you're ovulating, give it a year." I'm sure there's some flaw in my logic on this, but doesn't it seem MORE suspicious that you seem to have the necessary mechanics to get pregnant and it's still not happening in less than 6 months? I guess I feel like logically there is likely to be some issue with either MF or implantation, or something else I don't even know to worry about. I don't know. 3. I think my dream trip right now is New Zealand and Australia.
1. Where are you on your TTC journey? Cycle 4, CD 19. Getting ready to O is 2-5 days. (If I go by when I normally O)
2. Any TTC randoms/stories to tell? Temping is not as bed as I thought it would be. I have been so busy lately that I don't look at my charts more then putting the info it. Which makes me happy because I was obsessing at first.
3. If you could go on a trip to anywhere in the world, (Money doesn't matter) where would you go? Australia.
1. Cycle 5 (or 4--I didn't ovulate two months ago). DPO 8--getting antsy to test!!! 2. I am in the crazy phase. Everything is a symptom, I am constantly looking at my chart and the sample charts FF has trying to find a clue that I know isn't there to tell me I am pregnant. Our timing was really good this cycle and I feel like after five months, it has to happen. I hate being like this. I am also moody & I am sure a ton of fun to be around. 3. Iceland!!!
Cycle 8, CD14. My sex plan (...TTC has turned me into such a freak of nature) for this cycle was CD13,15,17,19,21. But DH went to bed early yesterday and I completely forgot it was CD13. Oh well. I'll probably do 14,15,17,19,21. He won't be going for SA until May, and since we've tried ED for a while now, I figure it can't hurt to try EOD.
Today I think my pick for vaca would be anywhere with sun and 70 degree weather, places to walk, and stuff to see. So basically, anywhere. lol

FastHands I am starting to think we are actually the same person. Cycle twins again, plus this is the month we were like, okay, maybe EOD in case there's something going on with him.

1. psh. I don't even know. I just went off BCP Tuesday, so I'm just waiting for my first period, I guess.
2. I had an alarm on my phone to remind myself to take my BCP and I deleted it off my phone yesterday. That was fun. So was tossing the pack of BCP in the trash.
3. Paris. I went when I was in middle school, but I want to go back with H and really enjoy it.
1. Cycle 3 CD 31. No O yet. :-( 2. My job is nice in that I have semi-regular communication with my OB-GYN. I saw her Monday morning and told her about my lack of O thus far. She said if no O or AF by day 45, take a HPT and call her office to come in for progesterone. Sweet. 3. Europe, minimum 3 months. I love European architecture and art and history and want to see all of that.
1. Not actually TTC, but have been semi-charting (CM only, no temping) for 2 months. I'm CD33 and I *think* 17 DPO and starting to question. Thinking I might POAS soon?
2. No randoms really, thinking I might need to buy a thermometer. Which ones are best?
3. I feel like I should go somewhere that I've never been, but I really think I might just go back to Couples Swept Away in Jamaica where H and I honeymooned. That, or France!
That was literally all the convincing it took! I POAS and got a BFN. Totally okay with this since we're not planning to start trying in earnest for another few cycles. It is weird though.. 33 is a long cycle for me!!!
How long have you been off BC? My last cycle was 34 days - I ended up Oing later (I think b/c was sick the first half of my cycle). If I didn't temp/use OPKs I would think I Oed earlier than I really do. I will get more than 1 patch a fertile CM in a cycle before I actually O.

I have not used hormonal BC since 2010. H and I only use condoms (and used them this cycle, too, since we're still avoiding).
Is it smart to OPK/temp for a cycle or two before actually trying? Does this make any sense at all?
Are there brands of OPKs that are better than others?
Are there brands of basal thermometers that are better than others?
Hmm... I'm so new!
Yes, I would temp before trying...this way you can confirm O and decipher your cycle - if you have a short LP, gear up to O and don't actually O, etc. I don't think you need OPKs until you are actually TTC - they only let you know you are about to O so you can time intercourse accordingly, which doesn't really apply for TTA, kwim?
I just picked a BBT from Rite Aid and it's worked well thus far.
I started out using cheap OPKs from Walgreens, but I hated trying to interpret them. I now use the Clear Blue Easy Digital OPKs (with the smiley face) so I don't have to guess.
Also, if you haven't already pick up "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" - it's a great resource, you will learn so much about your body/cycle.
Vmars pretty much covered everything. I use Wondfo OPKs from Amazon, and sometimes confirm with a Clearblue Easy digital. For thermometers, I use a Mabis, you can get it from Amazon or Walmart. Fertility Friend is the charting program most of us use, it has a mobile app too.
1. Where are you on your TTC journey? Cycle 9 day 22 2. Any TTC randoms/stories to tell? I was under a lot of stress this month. This is the first time that stress has delayed ovulation. I'm really feeling frustrated. 3. If you could go on a trip to anywhere in the world, (Money doesn't matter) where would you go?hawaii. We honeymooned there and I have such fond memories I'd like to relive that right now.
1. Cycle 3 CD21 - no O yet - booo! 2. Just getting bored of temping, peeing on the ovulation sticks etc. Have stopped taking pre-natals because I think it's all a big money-making scam. Just basically a bit down. 3. Svalbard. I've been very lucky to travel a lot (I'm an Aussie living in England) and have covered 40 or so countries now. It's the out of the way places that interest me now. So, Svalbard would be my pick. Legally, if you leave the main town, you HAVE to carry a gun to shoot polar bears in case you are attacked. That blows my tiny mind.

re: the prenatals, pretty much all OB-GYNs and the March of Dimes (my job's pet charity) recommend starting prenatals early, at least 2 months before starting TTC. not a money making scam by big pharma, but rather a measure to decrease birth defects like spina bifida. neural tube defects are more common than people think. I see many many babies in my job with sacral dimples that we then have to assess for NTDs--the sacral dimples are the first sign that the mom didn't take enough folic acid during the beginning of her pregnancy.
and Svalbard would be freaking awesome if I didn't hate the cold so much.

Cheshire said (sorry, difficult to quote/respond from iPad): oh I know you are probably right, but I'm one of those people that don't have any experience wit taking vitamins regularly (I'm not unwell, I eat a balanced diet) and think if it ain't broke, etc. i will start taking them again, I just feel despondent about TTC and that my odds are pretty low due to cancer and age so the whole thing could be a giant waste of time. Tickets to Svalbard actually aren't that expensive from here: short hop to Norway then straight up. I'd I don't get pregnant I will do this trip before m 40. (I'm 36, 37 this year)
