In honor of National Running Day tomorrow (how fun!), my local running store is offering $15 off a new pair of shoes if you bring in an old pair of running shoes. All the donated shoes go to charity.
I just switched from Asics to Brooks and have only had these shoes for about a week. So far I'm satisfied with them, and had a comfortable long run and track run. Would you get a new pair of the Brooks, or not spend the money, if I end up not loving them?
FWIW- my running club always gets a 10% discount on shoes and apparel, so last week I got $12 off. This discount will not be added to the $15 off for this event. I will probably donate some old shoes anyway.

I wouldn't spend the money. However, I also rarely buy shoes in advance. I have run in a few different shoes since I've started running due to my needs changing. Added to that, you already get almost the same discount anyhow.
