Our living room's old art. I wanted something new in the living room for color reasons, but still liked the old artwork, so I just moved it to the playroom. It isn't the typical kid's room art, but it is the first room you see upon entering our TH, and it also doubles as the guest room due to the sleeper sofa, so I'm happy with it.
It's where I have my photo/momento wall. It's only half done now but we have a really long wall and it's my goal to run it the entire length someday. It's a bit quirky, a bit fun and totally me. I also like having all that stuff in one place. It's also pretty sturdy/safe stuff so I don't worry about it.
The rest of it is/was will be covered with shelves/cabinets basically.
We don't have a playroom...but we are installing this Ikea cable and clip system to hang the kids' artwork in our big back hallway. If we had a playroom I would put this in there.
Our playroom has evolved quite a bit. For a long time I didn't really have anything in there. Then I redecorated her bedroom and playroom and moved the pictures from her bedroom in there (nursery rhyme pics). On one wall I had wall words "So many toys, so little time" and on another wall I had the IKEA cable/clip thing that the pp mentioned.
We just moved to a new house. DD is older now so I got rid of the nursery rhyme pictures when we moved and I'm trying to make it look 'older'. Now I have a picture frame collage on one wall (some have actual pictures and some have her artwork). On another wall I have this: (which DD picked out)
I plan to put the IKEA cable/clip system on the other wall.
