I went to my OB on Wednesday for my annual pap and to discuss TTC. Since my last pg was ectopic, I had a few questions. She said there's really no way to know if my next pg will be ectopic until it happens, but because I've had one, the chances go up significantly. So, I'm supposed to call the day I get my BFP and I'll need to have my hCG levels monitored every 48 hours to make sure they're doubling properly. And then once they get to 1500, we do an u/s to make sure the pg is in the uterus, not a fallopian tube. I'm actually really glad that I went and asked those questions because I honestly don't know that I would have thought that I would need to be monitored that closely so soon. But she said once we confirm everything is good with the pg (that it's in the uterus), I'll be a normal pg patient, not high-risk. Yay!
I also need to get my bloodwork done for thyroid and diabetes, and then we're good to go.
