DH and I are going to buy our laminate flooring today. Ah! So excited! However, I have never put down flooring in my life. Pretty much everyone tells us that it's so easy because it just clicks together, but I'm still a little wary. First, we have to pull up our carpet and carpet pad before we do anything, so I'm guessing we won't get to laying down the floor until later today or tomorrow. Any tips for putting down flooring? Thanks!
This is what we're getting, by the way:
It's got a hand scraped texture to it. Everyone we've showed the sample board to asks if it's real wood, which is sort of what I was going for. It's individual planks, although this picture doesn't really make it look that way.
I honestly hate laying laminate and think laying tile and hardwood is easier. Just be very, very patient. With clicking it into place, we always had issues with it popping out at one end when we got the other end to fit.
